I like it if they did it like PBat with Terraria, (only they don't show everything BUT the Jungle >.<..)

I'd like to know how the mechanics work too.. This game looks like something I have to see to believe xD..

It probably doesn't help that everyone's definition of a spoiler seems to be slightly different >.>

I personally don't want any 'story' info, released but I like the idea of knowing mechanical information. <3 im up for anything.

heh.. Maybe I am weird, but I think its the journey not the destination. "Spoilers" should be available to those who want it... maybe on a wiki somewhere, I say this for a few reasons..

    1) There will be some who want to know "The Answers".. The questions will just vary so much the sheer amount of information your going to need up there.. there is no reason not just to put everything up there.
    2) The information is going to get out sooner or later. It would be nice for an "Officalish" spot where you know you can find the correct information all in one place.
    3) No one is forcing those who don't like spoilers to look.

I think the main point is 3.. Just because they are available does not mean you have to look, and if some are worried about people spoiling things with that information, I would think that would happen if it was available or not... But that's just me.

    Edit:
I understand the "Procedurally Generated items, worlds, etc.." might help a little for those who don't like spoilers. It is hard to spoil something that is random, but that is only one aspect of this game (If that tells ya just how much stuff is available).. For more information on this, or other things in the game check out this video (If you haven't already) "Maybe spoilers to the more sensitive viewers heh" "Here"

I think a mixture of little hints, short video clips and vague, hidden messages are all we should get from the devs. If too much is revealed too early then people will begin to lose interest in the game, and nobody will care about Starbound when it is actually released.

    Dat necro.

On topic: I want to see some things, but I want many aspects of the game to surprise me when I encounter them.
I don't want to approach certain areas saying "oh this is where so-and-so happens."

Thing is I am really excited for this game but if you put way to hight expectations the game may disappoint you a lil bit so that why i dont want all the info they can give.

I don't want to be a newfag which does not know anything.
Besides, with procedurally generated almost everything, I can spoil myself how much I want, yet stuff will still be unexpected.

I don't want to know a single thing. I don't care if I'll ask everyone "how did you do that" I want to have the experience I had with Minecraft, not knowing a single thing :)

I enjoy discovering new things on my own. If I really want to know everything, it'll be on a wiki after the game is released. I'd rather let most of my experience be a surprise/discovery.

  18. Same here. I'll avoid wiki until I have found everything that this game has to offer...which could take months.

Personally, discovering new features and content through surprise is one of the best parts in these types of games. It just excites you even more to know there are stuff you had no clue about.

I think one thing I'd like to see personally is just a 30 second to 2 minute video once a week (or so) about some of the cool things that you can do in the game. Nothing about storyline or nothing too involved with what may be considered "end game". I'm sure a lot of us probably came from playing Terraria, so we're familiar with the infrequent screenshots that show a bunch of stuff without any real explanations. But we're also familiar with the style of gameplay. So it'd be nice to see some of the progress that the game is making, or just see some of the cool new things being offered. The previous Lighting and Water Pressure videos are good examples of what I'm thinking of, I'd just like to see them a little bit more frequently.

Like I voted, I'd like to see "some" information, but not a lot. I'd like to discover most of it for myself when it comes out finally.
