Before the Q&A Tiy complimented me on some sprites I made.

 

Just when I thought they couldn't make me want this game more than I already did...

 

That all sounds awesome, and we even got some confirmation about speculated features like space hulks/abandoned stations we can go visit. Also that is one freaky monster.

 

This thread even got to Starbound's twitter! You must be proud, Forever!

Okay, I can see being able to do this whenever as being crappy, but what if you could build up equipment in your base as an observatory? Or maybe used a bunch of materials to construct a satellite? Could you maybe survey the land that way and see what lies on the surface? In a game with an endless number of planets, after I have a ton of common materials, I think that expensive ways to speed up searching for specific things would be neat. Lend to that technology feel.

Lot of good info in that Q&A, I just worry about feature creep like Tiy said. Plenty of stuff can be added in later and I'm content to wait if I have the base game to keep me occupied.

 

I still kinda want that development road map.

Then suggest it, man. I think he was really referring to weapons with scopes, or just optical devices in general.

 

Holy Moses, that was some amazing info. Pretty much everything got me excited, and I loved how much clarification there was, and that some things were at least being looked at if not yet implemented. I really liked the part about capturing creatures in items and the "tech", both of which you have to plan ahead of time in equipping before you head out of your spaceship.

My favorite part, though, was when randomly said that he dropped some popcorn on the floor and his cat was eating it. Haha!!
