With vanity dragon cloths

 

1. Make it faster
2. Brighter flame
3. 'Burning' effects (pulsing/changing color or something)

well, make it a weapon(a mannequin of Tiy, which is actually a flamethrower )

 

Instead of having the fire originate from the end, have the front coming out followed by the rest.
The current start looks... weird.

 

As for the make it faster, the gif maker I used had this at it's faster. If you know a better one could you tell me?

 

You mean online gif-maker or a graphica editor?

Image is gone, but I'll go by memory:

Use keyframing; extremely helpful for any kind of spriting, especially those with tons of 'action'

Needs more 'action', there is too little impact. The flame should also be animated, rather than be just a horizontally oriented orange teardrop. Shinies and ambience light would also make the impact look better, along with the character's movement as he spits fire.

Don't forget that fire starts out blue, due to combustion ionization. It's not a big deal, but it would be a nice touch to add a bluish overlay on the fire the moment it is released.

I could go on talking about how this would relate to many sciences, but I'm afraid I would write a book.
