Players love being able to show off their achievements to one another. What better way than by wearing a title? It would be cool to get titles for completing a variety of things. Here are some examples: (Name), the Genocidal - For killing 1000 of a particular species. Tentacle Tangler (Name) - For killing the tentacle boss on the tentacle planet. Researcher (Name) - for researching 5 upgrades. Lab Jockey (Name) - for researching 20 upgrades. (Name), the Gunslinger - for firing pistols 5000 times. (Name) Fett - for completing 30 bounty hunts. (Name), the Coming Apocalypse - for bombarding 20 planets. Commander (Name) - for filling all positions at the space station. (Name), the Saviour - for rescuing 15 npcs from hopeless situations. Storm Caller (Name) - for changing the weather 20 times. (Name), the Undecisive - for changing your home planet 10 times. Armorer (Name) - for looting 500 weapons. Critter Getter (Name) - for catching 20 creatures. There are plenty of possibilities for awesome titles, and if you can have both prefixes and suffixes, that would be awesome. I was going to post this, and am glad I searched first. I like the idea of titles instead of items because since theres going to be mod support, anyone can get some achievement armor. But using the steam login verification to cross check your achievements with your name would make it hard for someone to claim they did something without actually doing it, while still giving the people who actually went through with it some way to give proof aside from spamming in chat "No guys, srsly, I totally used an orbital strike to kill a penguin pirate king." And if you want to borrow an idea from Aion, then you could attach some small bonuses to the titles. Like spending a lot of time in space gives a title that grants the wearer a small jump height increase. Sidenote; I hope I'm able to do that orbital-strike-the-penguin-pirate-king, because it sounds hilarious.

I love titles in games! It shows your achievements much like trophies where follow you everywhere you go. I'd like a longer list of titles, but it's still a grand idea!
