Tips For those with low-end desktops or laptops, feel free to add yourself

    I played Starbound on my brothers terrible school laptop over Christmas. At first I got a whooping 1 frame per second, literally. After updating the ancient graphics drivers it ran at near 60 fps though. IIRC, it had an Intel i3 with integrated intel graphics family 3000, with something like 2-4Gb RAM. Probably 2. No spectacular overheating either.

    So my tip is to update to the latest graphics drivers if you don't have them already.

    Thanks for those tips! Made a big change for me =)

    Also great response in this thread, i have nothing against laptops but im more a desktop guy but ill its repaired im really glad for every tips you have given!

    Here is a good tip.

    Go into your power options and check high performance if you have not already.

    Good point, a lot of people overlook the small things such as disabling Windows Aero themes visual effects, or just activating Windows Basic if you don't mind having a slightly primitive looking desktop it can boost the performance of some of your games.
