Hmmm now is it Vegetable or Beef this could be a really neat tongue in cheek in game reference. Though to be honest I always view it as a pink liquid like pepto bismol

Do you even know what primordial soup is?
I presume that you don't, because otherwise you wouldn't suggest it as a food item.
Note: It's not actual "soup" as you understand it. You might as well try drinking swamp water, just with much more and varied "additions" including some of the first viruses and microorganisms as well as proteins and etc.
Most likely, it would lead to an early death.

It's supposed to be a joke item. When most people think of soup, they think of an edible food item. Actual primordial soup, as you've explained, is not food. Thus, by making a food item called "primordial soup", it becomes funny. In theory at least.
