well, i mean like on each planet you can discover and explore different time periods and such.
    You know, time travel...

Well there are so many ways a time machine could work.

You could pick a planet + time period to get different kinds of planets with the same coordinates.
Wouldn't really make sense as altering past normally affects the future, but eh it'd be kinda neat.

Or a time machine could actually rewind or accelerate a planet somehow?
Dunno if that's feasible, but it could be awesome.

I'm just saying that "time machine" Isn't actually saying much.
There are so many ways one could go about it.

A time machine could even just be something used to alter the monsters you've tamed or the items you've found.
Make a lizard into a dinosaur or make an aged item be brand new.

That's a pretty awesome idea, not going to lie.

Same here, that would be awesome.

Well time traveling forward is possible sort of Albert Einstein predicted and later it was proved that motion in space affects passage in time so if one where to orbit a black hole because of the gravity it would feel like an hour and for the people orbiting it it would be, they would age an hour but people on earth it would be like 40 years

It was proved when they had 2 atomic clocks one in an airport an one in a jet and flew it around the world it was off by 300 millions of a second or something like that.

It could be used as a planetary "reset button", so if you utterly wreck a planet by accidentally splicing two explosive and quick-breeding lifeforms together (for example), you can undo the damage? But as an all-or-nothing device, so it would either take the planet back to it's basic spawn perameters, or save the planet's condition at the time the time machine was built.
I propose that it be about 9 feet high and blue, with a light on the top.

Or it would be cool if they incorporated time travel like they did in Braid where you can rewind it although they would have to limit it.

But an effect like that would quickly come to dominate the game, and how would it affect other players? It may turn from a time machine into a lag bomb!
