Inspired by Doctor Who, time-locked worlds are as the name implies planets or possibly entire solar systems completely trapped in time. Of course due to their nature they would be impossible to get near without proper time-dilation equipment. These worlds would have incredible danger as you deal with the forces of the universe themselves. Merely stepping foot could cause destabilization, or worse. A world stopped right before a meteor swarm completely destroyed it, but on the edge of being 'reactivated' with you on it, for example.

Ideally these worlds would allow access to materials that let you start messing with the fabric of time (stopping/reversing/slowing etc) and more.

Hmmm, not sure about this one... to me it doesn't really fit the theme, but who knows?

Agreed. Also seems like the devs would have to come up with new sets of items just to be able to enter these planets/solar systems. I feel like it would be a lot of work for something that many players might avoid altogether. Additionally, if a planet is stuck in time, what's the danger? The mobs don't attack you, cave-ins can't happen, water doesn't rush into your underground facilities.

The danger could be that the planet is unstable as a result. Mining and taking materials could risk the planet coming out of stasis in the middle of a dangerous event for example. A planet frozen in time could function sort of like a biome modifier I suppose with potential for interesting results (rain blocking movement because it's frozen in mid-air, a world of endless explosions etc). The way I see it is if some highly advanced race was able to devise FTL travel then there's potential for all kinds of time shenanigans.
