The furnace is one of the only crafting stations not improved. The dragon bone description states it has a "never ending heat" so why not make it part of a furnace upgrade? You can turn the furnace into a "Blast Furnace" with a stone furnace and some Durasteel, and it could have some benefit, like a random chance to only use half ore to smelt an object or a chance to make multiple end product from the ingredients. You could also make it go faster. Thoughts? Most of this is because I have this futuristic anvil and crafting table and.... a stone furnace? I'd like something a little more high-tech, if possible.
I like this idea. I'll add that you could use it to smelt various types of ore at the same time as an option. I have 3 furnaces in my ship so I don't have to micro it. I'd definitely upgrade it to avoid taking up space.
Yes plz add this i really want a upgrade for the furnace i have a high tech base and in the middle of it is a old fashioned stone furnace and it just does not look right.Plus he furnaces is the thing u really use most in this game.
Yup, i think the same. When the base is high tier and looks pretty modern (or even futuristic), old-school furnace spoils the modern look a little bit. Faster smelting, or multiple 'smelting windows' in such futuristic furnace is also a good idea I think
I love this idea. I use my ship for storage and item creation, and it's all very high tech Impervium. Then there's this stone furnace just sitting there.
Love this idea, also blast furnaces would be great for producing alloys that a normal furnace couldn't create. It could potentially be upgraded into a fusion reactor after that to turn light materials into heavier materials. However the fusion reactor burns through more materials since you are transforming pixels into entirely new pixels with new properties. You gave me inspiration to make new creatable items through the blast furnace when it is hopefully added.
