Three Steps to building a Meteor-proof Base

Tired of meteors destroying your beautiful creations? Frustrated at sitting on the surface all day and night waiting for weather patterns? Unwilling to even build because "The meteors are coming"?

Worry no more! All you have to do is follow these three easy steps:

    Step 1: Acquire a staff.
Step 2: Build a Magic Mystic Circle. (Magic isn't in the game, duh!)
Step 3: Build your town in a planet's core.

See? It's not that hard! MagicCircle.jpg

    Update!

Here are some pictures of my Sewer mini-biome, Living Quarters, and Avian Moon Base. Also some "work in progress" picture of the Farm district and Glitch castle, plus a "prototype" version of my Crazy Fun Place.

and then the meteors start spawning in the empty space of your buildings.
It happened to others who also went underground.

But I do like the setup anyway, have been thinking the same for vanity ofcourse.

I thought that meteors only spawned on the surface layers? Granted, they can "dig" downwards, but that would take a very long time for them to get to the planet's core...

I build on the surface, meteors can go suck it

I'd walk to the left, crossing from the Floran district into the Farming district, grabbing some crops or some food from the storage there, or else I'd keep going to the Living district, where there are plenty of Fridges, freshly liberated from some hairy things that kept saying "Don't stab me", whatever that means.

I'm setting up a bunch of different "zones", each with a different theme.

Sewer or "Airlock" stuff in the first, since that's where my tunnel enters the town.
Magic Mystic Circle in the second, because I always wanted to do this, ever since I saw the screen items.
Floran stuff in the third, because I'm Floran and there are plenty of fun items in Floran Prisons.
Farm district, so that I can have a place to use all of the seeds I've gathered.
Living district, for some modern or pre-modern town areas with fridges and beds and stuff.
Dead district, because there's a living district, so clearly there should be a dead one. Bone and primitive stuff here.
Castle district, since castles are cool and those Glitch would have appreciated it if they were still with us.
Then the hi-tech stuff, a Steel one and then a Light Metal zone.

Yes, I'm kinda bored, but I wanted to use all of my materials and try and compete with some of the really enthusiastic builders out there.

You could be right, I re-found the post where MKDelta experienced it. But that was in the previous beta-edition.

Here are my three steps to building a meteor-proof base.
1: Travel to a planet without meteors
    2: Build
3: Watch as your buildings never get destroyed again

I don't see a foil hat/armor set on that character who is hiding below the surface in the planet's core, under THE rock.

I am now reminded to build a Geofront if this is the case. Say, can trees and other plants grow underground at Core Level?

They can't dig down at all. They spawn in the corners of your screen.

Yes they can, if the trees you plant have enough vertical room to grow. Also, underlava farms are the best farms. So much natural light from the oppressively-hot lava surroundings!

    3 steps to avoid meteors:

    1) Hire Bruce Willis and a team of questionable drillers.
    2) Send them to space.
    3) Make a sweet movie out of it.

    Problem solved.

The only problem is that we can't make an Animal Cracker scene in Starbound, because they haven't been implemented yet...
