Thoughts on revealed human intro

So the intro sequence for humans was released quite recently, in case you didn't know that. And something i find interesting about it is the tentacles. Because they look just lake the ones from a screenshot taken on a so called 'tentacle planet' that the devs mentioned around 3 to 4 times back in November and December if I remember correctly.
This makes me think that either the earth became the tentacle planet, or maybe it was 'infected' in some sort of way. It could be something else too.
I would like to hear your opinion on this.

There's already like three threads about this.

That is a very nice observation, but wouldn't be better if you posted it in one of the threads about this that already exists?

It's awesome. I hope Floran is something about explorers mistaking them for plants and eating them, hence the reason why Florans eat each other/ other races.

For a WIP intro, it looks pretty cool in my opinion. What might also be pretty awesome, is if they could implement the Sol system and so one could go see the ruins of once-glorious Earth, all tentacly and corrupted, especially if,

Is true (which'd be cool), and you could somehow 'cleanse' the tentacluption and turn Earth back into a bustling Human world.

I hope the Floran intro is more dark. Like everyone turns on each other and eats each other, save for one family who sends their child off on a ship before being devoured themselves.. That Floran turns out to be Super-Floran!

This tentacle stuff seems to making sense in a roundabout sort of way.
I bet that on release or a little afterwards, or someway hidden, they will show us it.
    And it will make sense.
Little did we know that the seemingly meaningless tentacles were actually a massive plot... thing!

It could be pretty Lavos-esque, ala Chrono Trigger. It strikes me that way, at least.

I really liked the intro, and it would be cool if the Tentacles were like a plague and that it could spread to other planets.

Hmm, sorry about the posting threads similar to others, but I didn't see them anywhere, and the threads-with-similar-name-finder couldn't find them either. But Don't you worry, you can still go ahead and murder me and my feelings :DD... :D... :)... MOMMY I'M SCARED!!!

Does anyone remember the picture of a tentacle planet they released long ago
what if that planet was earth
and had some sort of quest
    to destroy the tentacles...

I remember the photo, but it could also be another planet, which suggests it can possibly move through space and infect other planets......which means if that is true...:blank:...it could come to OUR planets in during the game...:fireball: I'll be ready...:viking:

I doubt it will move to other planets, I hated controlling stuff like that on an island as is. If I have to control it moving from planet to planet I think I'll just wait for a mod to fix that.

The Earthicans were 'suckered' in to buying a bunch of tentacles, eh? Or maybe it's some hellspawn that lays dormant in a planet for thousands of years, and it's only just showed itself. It could be any planet, and they wouldn't know. So then, a group of explorers who've lost their livelihoods and cultures make it their MISSION to track down this horrid plague by raiding tombs, crafting mines and braving hell itself.

    How about no.

The Corruption was annoying as hell, I had to manually carve it out of my world after I was done with it.

If this tentacle thing can move around the world list and change stuff without my approval, I'll wait for a mod to disable it. Can't be arsed to make something nice and have it removed by a contrivance.

No overriding of established biomes without a way to permanently stop it.

Why because hard isn't fun? idk i like the idea of having some kind of corruption but still i like your idea too.

Finding a planet like Earth, covered in tentacles could be fun. Perhaps we could go to the core, defeat whatever is causing the tentacles, and it could revert to the Earth we all know and love? Then again maybe there wouldn't be a way to make it not tentacle-covered. Either or.

As for the tentacles spreading, I really hope that doesn't happen. As stated previously by others, the corruption in Terraria really annoyed me. Maybe if it's in the game, an option to make it not spread? I'd be down with that.
