This soundtrack is...

Whenever I write a piece of fanfiction regarding Starbound, I'm using lines very similar to these. Bravo!

Haven't listened to the Normal tracks yet though, gonna do that in a few.

 

And to think these aren't even going to be all the tracks. I'm anticipating that the futures tracks will be even better (If that's possible). I can only imagine how well these tracks fit in the game. I guess we'll know once the beta arrives.

Hey, TC, I like the big list you got here. Was wondering if you'd feel like adding more to the front page? I know there are some songs that aren't actually in the soundtrack. I don't know of many, but if you happen to find em, it'd help everyone to have it here I bet. Only one I remember and have would be this song



but I think there are more than that out there on youtube or somewhere else.

 

The new novakid song is just so freakinglyawesomely perfectamundo, a near perfect blend of western and original starbound chillaxed... messed up levels of talent in that there Curtis boy!

 

Thanks for updating it with all those missing songs. I had no idea where to find them and appreciate that.

 

How is the playlist overall? It sounds pretty awesome. How would you describe it?

 

I will say one thing for the tracklist of starbound, it requires a certain mindset... if you don't have that mindset, it will put you in it without fail, trying to listen to music as relaxing and chill as this playlist whilst concetrating just isn't going to happen, personally I find myself wiped out and happy to simply sit comatose listening to these songs, admitedly some are better than others when it comes to relaxing, afterall having combat music as calm as Jupiter or Hymn to the stars would result in alot of deaths due to player's sleeping.

Overall? The music as a whole, is simply fantastic, every song remains true to the Starbound feeling, all similiar and yet every single one is distinct and unique at the same time. (Novakid song is imo just genius, to maintain the same calm tones from Mira, with a banjo? MADNES I SAY).

I currently rate Mister Curtis as one of the great musicians of our time, his music is just redonkadonkulous and his talents seem unending, personally, if I was Tiy I would lock his ass in a basement somewhere and force him to create this music day in and day out, just incase for some sick reason he decided he wanted to take a break.

TLDR: Major fanboy boner for Starbound music.

 

I can't help but just sit here and listen to the soundtrack in awe, there aren't a ton of games I've played that have a soundtrack that I could honestly say I adore, but Starbound is one of them now. It truly is outstanding and relaxing.

 

i cant help but to be disappointed that the glitch theme wasn't in there , so i ripped it from the soundtrack section of the site and added it to my playlist

Ultramarine has to be my favorite of all time.

 

I am utterly addicted to Large Magellanic Cloud. It's so beautiful...

 

Listened to Desert Exploration 1 and it sounded so happy and upbeat, then I listened to Mira and got a completely different vibe. Secretly sad, depressed and pensive. Kudos to the composers!

 

Resurrecting because I was just listening to Europa, and seriously Curtis is a god. Praise him.
