This soundtrack is...

Honestly, I preordered as soon as I could and I saw the soundtrack but I had no idea of the sheer beauty it would be or what it would bring.

I haven't felt so strongly about a game in a very, very long time. Here's hoping to see you all starside

 

Terraria's soundtrack was designed to be retro - short loops, lo-fi digital instruments. It's good in its own way, but wouldn't fit a project as ambitious as Starbound. I like both, but Curtis' work here shows incredible effort.

well....i think the music is AMAZING!!!!! i mainly like the battle music . And uh Temple of Kluex? seems a little close to another word were all fond of

 

I deleted them from my iTunes library, not from my computer entirely. I can actually listen to them directly through Windows Explorer, and I definitely agree that there are some great songs in there.

 

I actually haven't listened to any of the soundtrack myself. I usually tend to like hearing music for the first time actually in a game. It adds to the feel.

 

It's probably just me, but one particular part of Atlas reminds me of Touhou for some reason.

Anyway, this soundtrack is beautiful.

 

I hope Horsehead Nebula is one of the first things you do get to hear, then. It's a very 'majesty of outer space' kind of track. And, well...

Good music is extremely powerful for me. And of everything I've heard, I LOVE that one so much.

 

This is a great soundtrack, have been listening to it while reading Lost Fleet.

Really looking forward to swooping down on a planet, while Ultramarine runs in the background

I love "Vast, Immortal Suns". I can't wait to see these song ingame. I think the game's atmosphere (and the game itself) will be wonderful.

 

The soundtrack is great! I've been listening to it at work and really enjoying it! The running lines in Europa especially stand out to me---beautiful!

 

Loving the soundtrack, Have been watching some of the old Starbound streams with the music over the top, adds a lot of depth to the atmosphere and no matter which environment the character was in the music would always fit like a comfy pixelated hat.

I must say, this soundtrack is refreshing and i can imagine it as being rather exciting. It really brings me back to my Metroid Zero GBA days. Love it folks. The experimental stuff is my FAVORITE.

 

Anyone know if they'll be adding more music into the soundtrack as they go? It appears to be missing a couple things like On the Beach at Night and which ever song they used for the building demo.

I started to listen to this as soon as the download ended, put the first track on and then suddenly a whole hour had passed, talk about mind blowing and hypnotic. This is going to be fantastic.

 

You can tell by the soundtrack alone that a huge amount of effort is going into this amazing game. The soundtrack is beautiful. I would use other words but they don't exist ().
My personal favorite is Atlas and Haiku. I actually cried tears of joy when Atlas ended. The quality and the tone was so beautiful. I can't wait until more tracks are released, the quality and effort put into them are outstanding.

 

I like Stellar Formation so much!

But i have one question:
Can i use the music in Youtube Videos with Credit?
Like other Game Soundtracks?
