This is One of the Only Games That Has Ever Got Me excited!

I remember seeing some pictures of this game way back, longer than I can even remember (About a year ago or more). This was also during the time I was playing Terraria, and I thought that this was going to be a sequel or another game like Terraria. It wasn't, but that doesn't matter. After re-playing Terraria after a full year of not playing it (Just this week.), I remembered this game. So, I desided to look it up again, and I see that it's actually coming out this year, maybe in the near future! I also have 2 more friends that are going to buy/pre-ordered it with me, so I'm going to have some of the best fun I can have with this game. I can't even tell you how excited I am, wait for this game to come out! It has me extremely impatient for the game to come out! (Don't rush it, I just want to put money into it, so it can release even faster! Exre-orders.) So, keep up the good work, and thank you for putting time into making an amazing game so far! Now back to the title of this thread. I haven't ever been this excited for a game since I was about 10-12 years ago. Making me this excited lets me remember the old days playing Halo, and other amazing games. Again, keep up the hard work, and I hope you all have a good day!

Found this a year ago? Recently started playing Terraria? Long time since real excitement? Are you me, or something?

Same here man, I'm really excited for this game.
But I gotta remember to keep my expectations a little lower
than average because... Colonial Marines, that's why.

 

This game I also learned about a year ago, at the time I thought terraria was amazing and when I saw this and I don't know why but I wasn't impressed. Now a year later I saw this in my suggestions box on youtube and thought "where have I seen this before" so it's been a week now and I have fallen head over heels for this game. The exploration aspect of the game is something that I ADORE in a game. I can't be more excited for this game.

The first day I actually found out about this game was when I just got gifted Terraria. (~ 1 Year Ago)
I was so addicted to Terraria that I wouldn't want to play anything else.

So... When I saw some pictures, information of it, I was like "Nothing can beat Terraria!"
StarBound seemed a bit dull to me back then with the astro-penguins and all that.

Now I am like "Terraria? Starbound is coming out! No time for Terraria!"

Especially after the Roadmap, I am like really looking forward to it.
(I guess I am going to spend another year of my life on computer, playing Starbound.)

We'll see though. Even though I am excited about it, I am pretty sure that there might be some things I am not really going to like about it. Every game has it's pros and cons.

One question though... Is it going to be possible to make mods for Starbound? I know that it might have been mentioned somewhere but can't really find it.

 

Welcome! Also.... I am quite hyped too. I have to admit, that I should work now, but I cant stop thinking about Starbound It is really becoming a problem now...

 

Starbound was especially built so that it's easy to mod.

 

I'm glad that everyone is as excited as I am. Also, just like you said Dag_killer, I can't really sleep at night because of excitement, and I see the road map, and it makes the game look like it's almost done! So for the whole day yesterday, and starting today, I've been just refreshing the main page hoping there's a "Pre-order button." I love the looks of this game, and I can't wait to play it when it comes out! This is going to be an insta-buy when it's available to pre-order!

I learned about this game about a month ago, but now I'm extremely excited! However, too much hype is never good... I remember the adventure update for Minecraft, when I was way too hyped, and it ended up being a huge disappointed...

I have to file Starbound into my long-term hopes, since it's been a year and still it's not about to come out any time soon.
