My base will be a massive underground research complex. And you can guarantee that most of its contents will be classified at the highest level.

I wish I knew what that meant.

 

Let's see... underground... research complex... classified items... metallic spheres that talk in a British accent.... Yep, it's just begging for a portal reference.

 

I don't remember hearing that in Portal! But then I haven't played it or Portal 2 in a while. But I do remember that THE CAKE IS A LIE!!!

My first base will be allot like the scientist bunker in yantar - A place in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC.

 

Don't know about you guys but I find that planning my bases usually leads to disaster! I normally just build strait from my head and come up with it as I go, needless to say it will defently have floating rooms that are just connected to the base via small corridors. Oh... and since my imagination isn't that great.. the rooms will almost always be giant rectangles with stuff in. I happen to think many people will follow this example... bad example. Yay for creativity! Building a giant lemon shaped base has now become an idea.. Since when did it have to make sense?

 

That'd be it.

 

A Lemon/Smiling Deathstar. Genius.. :whistle: I really want to see a Deathstar when the game comes out but I imagine a lot of people will be building them.

 

I'm thinking of a nice normal house on a mountain,a cosy,warm place beside a lake,and a secret hatch under my bed to a secret laboratory and bunker if things get out of hand

 

There are people who will create giant mansions and huge metal basses.. and then there are the people who like to build a nice little house that's cozy. I seem to mix between the two. But I try to stick to small cozy houses that feel homely.. I have a feeling that will be a little hard in Starbound with all the spacey stuff.

 

Well I have not drawn my base but my city. I hope you can build on your whole planet. The city will be something like Coruscant from Star Wars. So downstair live the rather poor people, you cant see the sun because of the skyscrapers where rich people live. Besides that there is mining and Industrie. You can see it here on my AWESOME picture I have painted with paint
