This game sucks, and you know it

33 forever baby. I know what you mean, these complaints make me wonder if they're being sarcastic half the time and makes me feel ancient the other half.

 

"Most people" you say. Is that really true, or are you just pulling that out of your magic arse of random statistics? Because most of the posts I've read had nothing to do with complaining on the scale that you are, they mostly point out things they find, bugs that annoy them, workarounds for crashes, etc. If "most people" are in agreement with you, then why are they still playing?

Secondly I'm enjoying it because I have a different goal from you. As buggy and unbalanced as the game is, the features and content is remarkable- better than anything I've played yet, and I'm willing to put up with it while the devs work around it.

So please, shelf this and never play it again. Consider your money wasted because you made a poor choice expecting so much more completion out of a beta by an indie dev team.

Jesus the replies to this thread just keep increasing in toxicity. I realize OP did not start the thread out well in the slightest, but that does not mean you have to respond with "MY TOXIC IS BIGGER THAN YOUR TOXIC". He has an opinion, and although poorly presented, it is a valid opinion. Quite valid, if you stop being jerks and think about it for a moment. Just because he doesn't agree does not mean he should be repeatedly told to get out.

Actually, to the contrary, I think if you start a toxic thread (titled this game sucks), the only logical responses to that thread are toxic responses of an equivalent level or worse. Where else would we put them? In normal threads?

A post like this shows up in every Beta Test. Obvious Troll is Obvious.

 

I'm not telling him to get out just because he's a crybaby who can't play the game right. I'm telling him to get out because he clearly has nothing useful to say other than quoting imaginary statistics from all of the people he doesn't know, and never will know. It's one thing to make a thread to point out that the birds are rapesauce now and the balance system sucks- THAT is helpful. Telling everyone that the game sucks and they shouldn't be enjoying it? NOT helpful.

 

I for one actually like beta testing whenever I can, it makes me feel like I can leave my mark in the finished product

 

Was more pointed to the people who are literally just posting "lol get out" or some other variation, but. His opinion, when you get to it in the mire that was the horrid and aggressive presentation, is highly worth discussing. And I hardly think making the 1000000th "birds r brok" thread is helpful at this point. ;p

 

I like how in the patch notes they actually make notes of when something was attributed to a player's idea, even though later on new players months from now will never know.

Right. So the official starbound forums has a majority population that thinks the game is fine. Yes captain obvious. If you were to actually read the steam forums for this game, or any of the hundreds of third party websites, you would clearly see that your opinion is actually the minority. Those people haven't been here like you and me waiting for two years. They just found this game on the front of the steam store page and paid fifteen bucks for it. They aren't having fun. It's an exercise in frustration.
