The female variant of the Santa coat is just a belt and gloves? I'm not sure if this is intentional. If it isn't please fix it! If it is, that's disgusting and kinda sexist as well :/

oh god the last thing we need is a sexist/feminist hoopla. all the female starting clothes are skimpy too. if you find it "disgusting" i think you need to grow up a little.

Well, the shirt is only cuffs and a belt which I am sure is not intentional. The bottom is shorts so that's fine. You may want to report it in the bugs thread.
Of course, it might because I am trying it on as a male character and not a female one. lol Have you tried it on with a female character?

Well, it is literally just a belt and gloves. The male variant is completely covered.
Also, it's not true that female starting clothes are skimpy... And if they were, still, a belt and gloves is quite "below the line".

Yeah, it seems that the shirt changes depending on if your character is male or female. :p

across most of the fashion, i think this is to help distinguish males from females because you cant tell by the head/limbs alone, not because the designers are sexists who think all women should look like sluts or something.

I'd say prolly troll, but people should know by now that the preview mannequin is usually how the clothings look on a male character. So it's only "gloves and belt" for males. Females have a very 0815 Mrs. Santa look with it on. See it as "Mr. Muscle Santa" for males, if you want. "Don't trust everything you see" would be fitting for this. [After all, some mannequin have no preview at all, that doesn't mean that they make you naked~]

I fail to see the sexism in this.

Not thrilled about the "Sexy Mrs Claus" bit of lingerie that is the ladies' Santa outfit. It's the type of costume you find in sex shop windows all December long.

Which is why there is two options, a slightly more sexy Santa suit or a regular Santa suit.
I personally like the option of being able to crossdress with a male character.
Side's, it's like this kind of clothing only really becomes taboo when it's presented to the internet.

    1. You go cross dress on your own time. No, really, you go right ahead and do that. Though why you'd really want to in a game that looks like this as opposed to something like Skyrim or...well whatever other RPGs you can cross dress in MAYBE Fallout NV not sure.

    2. There are taboos on the internet? This is news to me.

OOooooh, that explains it. I guess if I put the same coat on a female character the clothing appears different?

Also to the13thclam above me, there's nothing wrong with crossdressing. Also it's not a rare thing in video games, they also put it in animal crossing

Edit: I did try the clothes on, I just assumed it looked the same on male and female characters.

The Ms. Claus coat when worn on a female is a bustier and gloves. It does cover the bosom. When worn on a male character, it seems to be chestless. The regular Santa coat when worn on a female looks like a santa coat with a big round belly. Both genders can wear either coat, so there is a choice. The names are a little sexist; should be "santa" and "sexy santa" (or similar) rather than "Mr. Claus" and "Mrs. Claus", in my opinion.

I would be happy if there was more choice in the starter clothes, if every starter shirt wasn't a boob shirt, but this is an early beta, and I'm willing to be patient. I am pleased with the coverage of the armor, I must say. The character looks recognizably female without having to wear a chainmail bikini.

I did see this, but i assumed it was a bug. The mannequin model for the item, when i last looked, did seem to be missing the top. What the OP is saying is that if it isn't a bug, it's sexist. But it probably is a bug.

[EDIT] Just checked, it is a bug. It looks like this in the preview, but not when worn.

The actual look is kinda sexy, but if you don't want that, you can wear Mr Claus' coat, i'm sure he won't mind.
