Theory on $1,000,000 Stretch Goal

I feel the same, I got a group of friends drooling over it at the minute.
Co-op is going to be epic!

 

I'm not actually a hardcore fan. I just know the difference between a beta and a demo.

 

I'm more excited about the fossils then a 7th race.

Enough races, we need something new, fresh, like the fossils, maybe something related to the exploration or collecting

 

Bug collection or just abunch of treasure you could display and trophies.

 

And functionality ain't features. Watch any of the streams from a few months ago and you will see the game functions just fine, at least from what we've seen. Also look at the road map. MANY of the core features are finished, or say "finished, just not implemented". Meaning... they're done and just need bug fixes. Which ironically enough is what beta is all about. Also Tiy is sticking to his guns and not letting the community have a taste till it's ALL finished, and that's the part many of us disagree with. He could give us beta access and bring in the other features as they finish. Of all the things not finished i believe the creatures are the biggest ones that will impact any real testing of what is there. Crafting and digging and building don't depend on them but every aspect of the combat system does. Like whether armors work properly, damages, weapon functionality, etc..

I'm done saying "he should" because he won't. I'm just saying that we who say "maybe early beta at 1million" are under no impression that he can simply spend money to speed up development. We're saying the game CAN go to beta at any point, it's a decision.

 

I am guessing that the actual beta announcement will spike the preorders a bit. All i know is that I want fossils!

Yes It will. They are working for make that announce faster they can. They just can't say "hey we THINK we gonna launch the beta in XXX", and then by the time of the BETA launch for several reasons the beta is still buggy or with mad crash issues that they are trying to fix. They don't want to give us that, they want to give us already the most gameplay complete.

If they give an "buggy and crashy BETA" to duzens of thousands of players, easily the game would be Down rated to hell. Nobody wants that.

I would rather have mini mini-games put into the game as sort of like easter eggs. You're just walking around, minding your own business, and you suddenly mind a mystery box next to a decapitated body. You click on the box and suddenly you're playing Asteroids. And then you get shot. (Okay, maybe not the last part or the rotting corpse, but you get my point). Maybe even a gambling system or a trading card system. Or maybe even super secret places like the Casino from Super Mario RPG.

Or maybe instead how about even more character customization?

Time travel. Or a special portal to a special level 100 realm with unique gear and apparel. Stuff that's kinda optional and kinda big is my guess for 1 million bucks or translated a ticket to a nice sports car.

 

If I had to guess the $1,000,000 goal will be another feature they've said they want but haven't been able to pull together quite yet. Specifically, space battles or something.

 

the problem is the resolution... the bugs will be... one pixel?

 

that would be completely awful. i would rather have a new feature, rather than a earlier beta. because, what about when the game is fully released? you wouldnt care that you played it earlier on, because who cares if you got like a month or two off, it would just be better if you waited for that new feature.
sorry if it doesnt make sense. im kind of... well, horrible at sentences.

 

I totally agree a reward system for raisig money makes them think more out side of the box.

A cool 1 millions idea would be a hat callled THE TOWER OF CROWNS
