You could have also used the Sea Fox from Sonic Triple Trouble and Tails Adventure... Would have made slightly more sense too since canonically that thing actually does fly (At least in Tails'Adventure. Not so much in Triple Trouble)

I would make a sea fox myself but I have no programming knowledge.

A serious suggestion though: Could you make the homing torpedoes NOT target (minor) critters? Only monsters/hostile NPCs? Gets really annoying trying to fight those big sharks when the torpedos somehow think the little jellyfish near the ocean floor is a better priority than the big shark tearing my submarine to pieces.
