It would limit the enviroment because you couldn't just use any type of block anywhere, even if it is just for the color and texture. I can tell there is plenty of creativity in this forum. I think we will benifit Starbound much.
Like Maos, despite the idea being unnecessary, it would create a simply basic factor to consider. Whether we are pushed down when we jump, we have a gravity power and, consequently, an weight force acting there. The same must occurs with blocks. Is illogical think, even for the game, that if we put 10 blocks of lead above a single dirt block, it wouldn't break. Not mentioning the fact that, with the high level of the monsters, we will have to be upgrading our base with more resistant blocks. That would greatly increases the fun in the game. You can't defend ya with an house made from dirt. TTC, the creativity, of course, will be limited. So a good idea is, like the genetic modification, is the painting method. A simple paint-brush would bring back the creativity.
