Still feeling like heck
so i decided to sketch one of Reelru Rat people.


I'm a sucker for rats .

I'm also a sucker for rats! I had two, but they died a few months back.

If you dont mind me asking , i personally was thinking of getting rats , would you recommend it or nay?

they're clever and cute and lowish maintenance

 

Oh it's okay.
I do recommend it, actually! They do require some maintenance, but I can give you some tips on it:

Get two at a time (of the same gender) unless you are home ALL the time. They require a friend because they are very social, and they will get lonely without constant company.
I would go with females first, They're a lot more calm, and won't smell as much as boys will (boys like to mark, a lot!)
Make sure you get them from a reputable place, and they're not just feeder rats. As much as I want to save feeder rats, and my last ones were feeders, they have bad genetics, and will get sick much more often than rats that were bred to be pets.

That's really about it. The rest is just normal stuff. Make sure they have space, and lots of toys to play with. And they love to be around people, they're super social! But you must pet both at the same time, or try to be equal. They get so jealous and picky.

Because sprite interpretations and official concept art. Hylotl are closer to amphibian salamanders and newts than reptiles anyway.

 

i usually default to amphibians, but.. froglike amphibians rather than the more reptile-esque ones like salamanders.[DOUBLEPOST=1442606877,1442606854][/DOUBLEPOST]the sprites are def part of it though
