Traditional The thread where Lodish posts his stuff

Hello people of Earth! I recently started doing traditional drawings, and a very few people asked me to post it somewhere so, here I am, posting doodles and stuff in a thread.
Note that I will mostly do Avali-related stuff, because fluffy space raptors.
Hope you enjoy it, constructive criticism is welcome ^^

I saw this mod a while ago, looked quite cool. While I do not think it would be practical to add to the base game (as none of the items would fit properly) it is definitely an impressive collection of not only the race, but items and settings for the race as well.

Back to the artwork, the sketched one has great use of cross-hatching. I've tried to use cross-hatching and it never seems to go quite right, but that drawing nailed it. The solider one is also impressive, even more so since I am looking at it from the perspective of someone who has barely used digital painting applications.

Also, have you worked on the actual mod? If so, could you let me know what program you used to create the sprite work? Thanks

 

Didn't actually used cross-hatching, I just drawn a big blocky area and rubbed with my finger to make said area look smooth

Nope, but I guess any image editor (GIMP, for example) could suffice for spriting.

When the monster has a mouth bigger than your whole body, just run.

 

or toss a grenade into it.

 

This wouldn't be hunting, since it involves eating the monster after killing it. Hard to eat a monster shred into small bits by a HE grenade

 

Monster nuggets.

 

Burned monster nuggets... Maybe because you are a floran it looks tasty to you, but as for me, it doesn't looks like a good idea to eat these

Alright, this one took me almost five lunch breaks to be finished, but for the first time I tried a badass pose, perspective and shading at the same time. Turned out pretty well
I consider this one as my chef-d'oeuvre.
