The Thread of Randomness

Can anyone tell me what this icon means (it pulsates slowly)? I only see it in the mines, and it's not all the time, but I can't figure out what causes it, or what it means.

 

Fair questions. I should clarify that I'm not bored with the game, only with my current save. I have some strategies I'd like to try in a new farm. Is it crazy to start over when I'm so close to completing my museum collection?

Sorry I also didn't mean to suggest you hadn't done everything - it was more wee challenges I hadn't done in my first 'complete' run through and only thought about later.

 

That pops up when you enter an Infested level. It will be filled with monsters and you have to kill them all to make the ladder for the next level appear.

 

Ah, I thought that's what it might have been since it was replaced with the floor level when I left.

 

The fishing rod bugged out at the fair and my whole situation got Picassoed.

 

Does anyone know the name of the tune from Elliot's 6-heart event? I'd love to find the piano sheet music for it.

 

Someone asked for a song in Sebastian's 10-heart event and Luthien said that the songs sometimes get mixed up. So it might be necessary that you check the whole ost. But I am not sure. Anyway here is the thread I am referring to:

I was in the manor waiting for the Mayor. Holy smokes, he walked on-screen from the void! And then glitched through the wall into his house. I am now ardently pursuing him as my new best friend so he'll teach me his secret.

 

YES! I knew it had to be something like that, I've had more than one occasion where I had to turn in a quest and the wiki said he was supposed to be at his house, and he wasn't. Nor was he anywhere else! I think it's a long standing glitch.

 

Thanks for confirming. I had a similar experience in a previous save. He wasn't in the house so I waited in the front yard, only to have him surprise me by walking out the front door. I'd assumed that he teleported into his home base like the chickens sometimes do. I never dreamed that he paths in through the back of his house!

 

I think there's more to Lewis being mayor all those years than he lets on, definitely some supernatural stuff going on. lol

I have a wierd thing for you guys, has anyone else ever had this happen? I went to bed with energy and health at max, but woke up with some health points depleted. Its happened to me once before and I can't seem to pinpoint a reason for it either time, farmer was fine when she went to bed. She didn't go to bed late either.
