the thousand lantern problem

i was playing with commands and learned that lanterns dont stack so now i have around 1000 lanterns infront of my replicator. do they despawn or is ther some sort of command.

 

Moved to General Discussion as this isn't a bug but a human made error.

 

Items despawn after...I think 5 minutes? But they do despawn. Just wait around in your ship until they do.

 

Just pick them up and put them in the trash. Why did you spawn a thousand lanterns anyway?

To be fair, oil lanterns stack, don't they? The tiny, placeable ones. Still wondering why they're different items, actually.

 

Because there's currently no way to have an item that is both holdable and placeable.

 

just fyi when i spawned the 1k i wanted to see if they would be brighter then torches. why 1000? go big or go home!

and throwing them out and storing won't work. to say the least an apex village is going to wake up to all there refrigerators filled with bright shing metal things

aaah... never mind .....

I mean... I AM having a severe lack of sleep lately, so it could be just me going nuts.

 

in the end they never despawned so i dug a tunnel directly below them and covered them up with planks and swore to never speak the word lantern again!

 

I got some mis-spawned items to despawn by teleporting out of the area, saving and quitting, and coming back. After a few retries they were just gone.

 

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing when giraffe came out.

Though, I just went to the gate area and tossed them overboard. Though I only had 200 or so.
