The spineling is a organic geo and carnivore, which prefers meat over rock, but will eat both. It appears to have chameleon-like abilitys, able to feed and turn into the color/texture of rock. It uses this ability to eat the rock in a area, transforming like it then waiting for prey to get close. The transforming is not perfect, and it appears more cracked and lighter then whatever it looks like. It apears to be a rough disk about a foot and a half long, with 4 tendrils each a foot long. Depending on the surrounding rock, the tendrils may be different. Strong material will see tips with corrosive acid, thick with drills, and in areas with lots of prey spikes, grown from bones. On the under part of the disk it has a mouth lined with teeth, the first row has 10-15, the deeper inner one has 3-7. It is not rather strong, but its power lies in ambushing prey then killing them before they can strike back. If hit, it will not take very many blows from even a stick to cause major damage. They are not social, and finding 2 in a half mile area is rare. Its main source of food comes from young and inexperienced explores. It is often times taken as part of a deposit onto a mineing ship, where it eats the ship and crew. (I made this with the purpose of needing caution in areas infested, whill being easyily defeated if the player is smart. This is designed to be a low-mid tier creature.)
