I bealive the is a in-game Auto-Log that gathers data from things you fight, gather, and see. If not, this is a well thought idea and im more than happy to support it!

 

There is, but this is more of the style of Douglas Adam's The HitchHikers Guide to The Galaxy.

 

Hate to burst your bubble but, in the Origins clan, the Star Division has been planing to do just this. Though I admit the name would be great for a wiki. xD

Those were the best books! I couldn't put them down for a good while. I'd be glad to help on the project as well if needed.

Maybe a tutorial book in game could be called The Starbounder's Guide to the Galaxy? We would need to confirm the existence of towels though, that'd be a deal breaker.

I want in! I loved the book (only read the first) and I'd love to see witty comments a la hitchhikers in Starbound. Once the game is released, I might write an entry or two for the guide as well, though I have a feeling people will be so enthusiastic that I won't be fast enough :/

Anyway, I'll be definetaly sure to read it

 

No offense but this thread will get buried very quickly due to the lack of game information, you could just make up stuff about the current monsters and equipment etc in the screenshots.
It would've been better to post this when it comes out.

 

I think this is a pretty good idea, but it will require a fair bit of work to really get it going nicely.
I rekon that this needs a good themed website wiki thing where you can catalog all this, and get good writers!
