Most of them are lurking until phase 2, and the rest of us tend to talk on the server or steam unless there's something that needs putting out to everyone o: At least that's my general experience of things at the moment. Dem lurkers just refuse to wake up and come play ;-;
I wish I could show you guys this backstory I wrote for one of the main villains/rivals for our clan and roleplay, but it's something you all will have to discover once we start our in-game roleplay. Putting the pieces together and whatnot.
I see a lot of people are picking up Rogue Legacy today. I'll have to reinstall it, as I can't remember why I stopped playing it. In other news, I started watching House of Cards on Netflix today, if any of you are into that.
Rogue Legacy - a game about descendants of a king or knight or something I don't remember who all have some form of disability which hinders them (and sometimes helps them! Like...like BALDNESS...god damn, that baldness). You're trying to explore a castle and find its secrets, but the castle changes its layout and placement of enemies every time you come back to it. And you'll be revisiting it a LOT, because every time you die you have to choose a new character who is the son/daughter of your last (you get a choice from 3, telling you their disabilities and such). Each character has a class (and a random name, like Sir Bob - alas, he was a good colourblind, homosexual man with dwarfism) and you can get MORE classes! How? By BUYING them, silly, in a upgrade tree of sorts. The 'tree' I speak of is a visualisation of a castle which becomes bigger and more grand the more upgrades you buy. But as you get into the higher levels, upgrades are more expensive...and money isn't easy to horde. You don't lose money when you die in a castle - it's passed on to your child. However, that child can't take the money back into the castle. When you reenter the castle, the money is lost (so you better spend it before you do). Tl;dr - it's a roguelike game with knights and monsters and a castle and upgrades and shit and you die a lot and man I got annoyed at it sometimes I mean some of those bosses whoa you should play it
We need more members guys. Were slowly dying off here with the lack of activity. We should brainstorm ideas on how to get more members without spamming the forums.
The only ways we should be getting through members are for people who wander into this thread, or for members who invite their friends to the clan. Going around asking people to join isn't really going to spike our activity much. Plus, the members who are waiting for Stage 2 of beta are also some of the current inactives here, so we'll get their attention once they start playing Starbound. Alternatively, we could consider opening up our clan somewhere else, too, for a game other than Starbound.
I designed a ship, If anyone wants to use it It should look something like this, if I included the right file. I included the .shipworld file as a txt, as the forums don't let me upload .shipworlds files. Also, I don't know if this is the right shipworld. I really hope it is if it's not, let me know. Edit: Darn emotes.
Looks pretty good. I'm waiting to decorate my own ship when we get ship upgrades, or until I decide to download the mod that allows you to freebuild on your ship.
Yeah I think you're overthinking it. We're not here to become massive, we're here for fun more than anything. And as Shark said, a bunch of people will show up at the coming of Beta Phase 2. It's hard to be on the server all the time when the server itself can't do anything original yet due to the state of the game itself. When we have more control over our server, well... People shall envy us >
