The Star Veterans (v2)

Some cool info just got announced in a blog post.

I think that all sounds pretty awesome, what do you guys think?

 

I got uber excited when I read it! It just feels so exciting when I think about it

 

Guys I'm just roaming around the starting planet and I just saw the hylotl themed constructions to the left of the planet spawn rower...Wth is this? Wasn't this from a mod only? I thought the server was vanilla...Or were these structures and decorations introduced recently and I just haven't seen any in singleplayer? I'm really confused right now though I love Hylotl lore and backgound

 

I believe those were spawned in - there are many assets like those which aren't technically in the game yet, but their files still exist. x)

 

Ah ok makes sense then Btw could anyone get me a lost of server commands or the like so I can tinker a bit with my own server and check a few things out? Like those assets

 

There aren't any server commands that I know of at the moment, and we remotely shut down/startup our server from Creeperhost. The assets are already in everyone's game files, but they are unobtainable through normal gameplay; I believe Ketoth used a mod (approved by me) to get those assets into his 3D Printer. You'll have to ask him about it.

Anyway, regarding the new blog post that I linked in my last reply, I'm actually pretty excited about the fact that we won't be able to leave our first planet right away. I think it will make the progression and first few hours of the game play a lot tighter and give a sort of "humble beginnings" feel. The new progression sounds great too, I'm always up for Metroidvania-style stuff.

 

The idea about outposts sounds quite nice as well!! Central hubs putting together all the races and a place where a farmer could go to sell his grown crops and suddenly bump into a tomb raider who just had got back from black marketing his newly acquired loot or a bounty hunter who left the tavern after taking a few wanted posters with him for his next jobs

That's a good feeling. I'm planning on hopping back into being a server usual again this week, and finishing up the clan planet's opening phase.

 

Cool! By the way, do I have to do anything in order to hop onto the server, or can I just hop on freely?

I'm planning to get on it tonight after the mandatory 200 Oxium / day that Seb and I are farming on Warframe . So much farming ;-;

 

It burns. As if my soul needed crushing any further.
But if we farmed Volt and Ember back in the day, we can do this.

 

Well we have a holiday for Carnaval this next week so I pretty much have a free week to finish my ship and do...something xD

I don't have all of them. I have all the cheap-ish ones because.. I had money once.
