I was wondering...

I always call my characters (Aside from chibi/manga)
characters of my own style but since it's not all that diffrent from AT isn't it just an edited copy?

How you draw is your own style, even if some factors of it are emulated from your knowledge of other styles. Of course you are still entitled to say that you draw inspiration from Adventure Time's art and whatnot.

EDIT:just got this mixed feeling... on the one side you can say it's from the show but on the other hand it looks nothing like it for example the limbs,eyes,clothing,(coloring)
the measurements.
it's difficult because originally it was almost the same as AT but now...
but I would like it to call it my own but I didn't really know...

sorry for doublepost but I was planning to do the girl in the avatar (My oc) again
but dressed like an ranger ready to shoot
any ideas for a background and any other funny ideas? (was thinking to give her a brooch in a form of a butterfly and the arrows got a star at the end (the part that should hit the victim first))

 

Yeah you could have the victim appear or something. Like some person in the clan.

 

I don't want to shoot anyone down! the victim thing was to clarrify myself

 

But it shoots stars not bullets

 

but still o.o these are pointy stars and btw it's mean to shoot someone down especially when in the same clan

I dunno. You character is kinda based off being cute.

heh... true dunno if I can even draw something not cute...(and decent)
I encountered this "problem before" that I make them cute... even if I don't want to since I'm appealed the most to cuteness and I work on a drawing till it's done and I'm happy with it in other words when it's cute...

Just wondering, How will the picture look? Just your OC (Dunno what her name is.) dressed as a ranger or gunslinger ready to shoot. Will she be pointing the gun towards the "Camera"? Like the point of view.
