In order for Hydreigon to really shine, he can really use help from a Speed Passer/Tailwinder... that's what I try to do for my main Hydreigon, Tiamat.

Edit: Oh, almost forgot to mention, it's also a tad imbalanced having 2 Dragons in your Team at once... I know Dragons rule, but tactical considerations like Type Balance still matter.

Edit 2: I was tweaking my Sandstorm Team, (Especially VERY firing my Registeel from it) & have spotted that my Genesect that was previously conned & sorted into OU seems to now be conning Uber. Genesect appears to have gotten a Tier promotion, adjust accordingly.

Edit 3: Yep, took a look-see on the PO Wiki, & looks like Genesect has gotten Banned from OU & now has a Ubers Analysis up, if that Analysis wasn't there before. Something musta shifted in the OU battle scene that Genesect was overpowering or something... like if a Genesect Counter or 2 lost OU status & got Tier Demoted, or some such.

 

So... are you guys still accepting people? I've only found one in the last ten pages, which was more of a "Hey, can I join?" "Sure!"

This is (maybe) a list of the Pokemon that will be getting Mega Evolutions. Take it with a grain of salt though, as I just noticed that Absol isn't on here.

I agree with what Axe has said - you already have 2 dragons. You also already have a decent Steel type with Bronzong there, so that leaves Volcarona. That's just as well, because I would have recommended that one for you anyways.

Scizor, as you probably found, is a hell of a Pokemon. He actually did a number on some of your guys... that is, until you burned him to a crisp. Volcarona in this case, would do a much better job of that then Hydreigon. As Axe and I have found, Volcarona can handle a +1 Bullet Punch from Scizor, and then send Scizor to hell with a Fiery Dance. If that alone isn't a good enough reason, the fact that it will be able to fight off Dark Types and other Psychics with its rather potent Bug Buzz should be.

That's probably the politest way of bringing up the fact that we don't get many applicants. I had a good laugh about that.

I don't think so. Those were *apparently* the teams available for the multiplayer demo for X and Y at so-and-so convention. I still hope all of the starters get Mega-Evolutions... that would be WICKED. Scizor though? I love him to death, but giving him a Mega-Evolution would be like giving a bear chainsaws for hands. Overkill. Totally badass, but overkill.

I think we should send Gamefreak the specs for Paravect, and see if they don't give Parasect a Mega-Evolution (or just a regular evolution). Then watch the meta-game burn...

Speaking of the mod. I intend on working on the Fire update, and FINALLY putting Moonpluff in. I've given up on giving him a cape, and I haven't had contact with Moofin in a while, so I guess Moonpluff won't be launching alongside Moofin's "MANPUFF". Oh well, it's long been time for me to introduce another kickass Pokemon who causes obscene amounts of cursing upon sight (see Paravect).

Axe, if you're still on, I believe we have some things to discuss regarding the next update. I'll be on Steam in a bit.

 

Paravect? Meh. When we first started out, it was incredibly overpowered. It was essentially a combo of Forretress and Scizor, plus Spore. Considering that Scizor is already considered one of the top Pokemon in OU, and that the mod only consisted of a few updates to existing Pokes... Paravect just wrecked the house. Since then though, the rest of the mod has caught up with it. Vital Spirit Slaking ESPECIALLY does a hell of a job countering Paravect now. If I can remember... Slaking can take a +6 Bullet Punch from Paravect, and then Fire Punch it to death. Gangaura and Bombii also do fairly nicely since Gangaura commonly already has a status (usually Burn) and Bombii just blows everything up. Then we have the upcoming Fire update... So, Paravect really is in hot water so to speak.

Moonpluff, while we have yet to see how well it will fair, shouldn't be game-breaking like Paravect once was. So, feel free to love (the mod) again.

You'd think I would be excited about the Mega Evolution, but in reality I just find the Mega Evolutions overall to be somewhat bizarre. Except for Kangaskhan. It's high time that that baby did some work for once.

Also, I should've specified, Mawile isn't my favourite Pokemon in terms of battling. That would probably go to Rhyperior or Breloom (though I haven't had much opportunity to do competitive battling).
