The Roadmap

hm? i feel like the 90% bits are items that are "Done" but are not upto par, content wise.

the roadmap in itself is pretty odd do to the fact that we don't know how much each percentage weighs in.

 

Dungeon Protection is 30% for last 4 months. Ok they working at it. Every free minute. Day and night.
Party mechanics 20% for last 1.5 year.
And so on.
I can only see 1 guy working. Bartwe's working everyday. Twitch notifications come to my email everyday.

 

they have a list. dungeon protection might be at the bottom. from the last few updates they have been working mostly on dungeon generation and enemies(that's from what i have seen. other devs do crazy background things).

in my opinion, dungeon protection isn't very important right away.

nitpicking on a single item doesn't work on your favor.

 

At the bottom MUST be quests and all that's touching it. Or may be they forgot about their promises: "No quests till release"

 

things change. quest have become necessary in an attempt to make a functional tutorial in where new players can do but old players can just ignore and play.

quest would also fall under Ai in that logic; sense Npc's will give quests.


Edit: quests where also needed so the game could be presented during the con,new players didn't know a thing about the game and the one quest we saw helped all the new players actually feel progression.

 

For the first one, this game is SANDBOX. And quests in sandboxes are not that necessary. All other stuff, then quests.

It is their discretion as to how they go about making their game, we are just paying for a product, a product that has not yet become a service. Every bit of progress is progress and that is that, perhaps their not expedient with their updates, sometimes there's delays and it's frustrating but their new to the developing world (as a team at least) so let them be, it'll be awesome when it's here.

 

This is just a portion of what they're worked on, everything else just isn't listed on the roadmap.

That is just marking the date Tiy stuck out that line is all.

 

Aside from the whole release date mix-up, the Roadmap itself got updated and everything got kicked up a large amt., from when I last checked.

 

It seems to not be letting me upload my screen shots of the before and after road map. "File could not be found" "or you do not have permission to perform this action"

Man, whats the point of the roadmap then if they don't list off what needs to be done?

 

This is why we have daily updates. They have a list that needs to be done before beta can come out. They can't release this list, but there is one.

 

If we transferred the 596% from I'm in space/eat cake to other more essential areas the game would be released already.

 

But the daily updates reveal far less information than the roadmap does. Really the daily updates are more of a "Hey look how cool this feature is!" than a "This is what we need to finish before release!"

 

Even if i try to start a new thread. Oh well atleast i tried not that big of a deal

 

Because they can't list the 1000's of little changes they make.
