The Roadmap

for me, it's not that it's some kind of entitlement, which is the buzz word right now if someone brings up anything starbound related that they'd like to see, which is also completely stupid as it proves nothing and is frequently misused, but it's the fact that Tiy specifically said the roadmap would be updated some time mid-may. The problem is that it's now june and Tiy told us something would happen, gave us a specific time frame for it, and then it didn't happen. This doesn't make me want to take Tiy at his word. I still want the game, and if I get only that, i'll be happy, but the point still stands that we were told something else would happen and there hasn't even been an acknowledgement of the fact that they said that something would happen. it's just been completely ignored.

 

I think the fact that they're keeping us in the dark about it bothers me more than the delay itself.

 

Yeah... This is kinda their thing.

 

So, anything new at this topic, somebody noticed anything or found an anouncement so far? Except for the usually verbal bashing of "some people" from the nice community.

Maybe they just forgot about it, that would be ok. (Or beta is so near that they don't bother updating it anymore - y, sure )

I imagine their using the time they would have put into gathering all the relevant data for the roadmap and instead plowing it into development...I hope, it would be nice to know what their doing with said Roadmap but if their focusing on the game then that just means an earlier Beta.

Is the Roadmap updated yet?

 

Checked it out this morning, only at 2-3 categorys and checked the numbers in this sticky topic. Still the same. And no news from the dev´s when there will be an update. Not even a single word...

To be honest i even tryed it with the contact email, asked if they could at least give a statement, one short sentence. Nothing so far. Could be gone into their spamfolder or they get to many questions, i don´t know.

 

In my opinion the developers aren't even capable of following their own schedules, And because of this I've lost all hope for any future promises they make.

 

I don't want to like your post. I hate to agree with it, but i do.

 

I prefer it focuses on the game rather than on the roadmap ... My opinion.

 

I wouldn't go so far with all those statements of disappointment, betrayed hopes and grim, cold heart that will trust no one some posters seem to have now - all because Chucklefish didn't update Roadmap. Yes, Roadmap is sorta useful but one can see that they do work on the game, the progress is constant and not being able to see this or that category going up by some percent won't really affect when the game will come out - just increase the hype and make people more anxious to go 'we want the update nooow' (by the way, quite a nice, catchy song, that thing linked earlier).

Calm down, there shouldn't be an issue - as long as we get some sort of info to track progress - and we do, in a very nice form of daily news - there's no sensible reason to be hurt. Yes, it does not speak too well of Chucklefish when they make a promise and then stuff doesn't happen, but it's one of the few glitchy things or bad choices against many good ones when they did provide what community counted on and losing hope completely because of just that - especially since there is still time for this aspect to improve - is not wise.
