The Roadmap

Maybe they have one of those digital clocks counting the month down, GameStop-CoD style in the office.

 

Lets see if it'll actually get updated today..

 

12 hours left for the monthly roadmap update

 

so the roadmap hasn't been updated in a month? If so, that's good news since there are a bunch of progress bars that are fairly low.

 

More like two months.

 

You think? xD Maybe the big suprise hit us tomorrow into our faces....roadmap update and only 3% more on some bars!

The way these guys have been working I refuse to believe that 3% would be a realistic guesstimate.

 

No but now really. Sokina got this contest running with numbers and i think after this weekend could be the first round of numbers? Imagine what would happen when they say tomorrow SUPRISE, Beta at Monday! She would be off the hook! xD

But i guess only some bars will raise, but not all of them. Maybe even fewer than some people would think. I am happy if i am wrong! =) Assumed they will update the roadmap. I see only people ask but so far no confirmation.

 

Wow that's a while! Definitely should see some big improvements on progress soon. So they are going to update the roadmap tomorrow or is that just a rumor?

 

Seeing how they are adding tons of crafting recipes I think they are pretty close to Beta prime-time, (withholding any crazy bugs or brain melting unforeseen problems) so I think many of the bars will raise from 60% to 80, and some 80 to 90. Although, others, such as Mechs, might only move a few tenths...

Seriously, crafting recipes seems like something one would do if they had nothing better to do, or were trying to finish a ton of easy busy work to make it look like they were doing something when they kinda weren't (or were waiting for someone to finish a project so they could finally complete or begin their own).

 

Bugs are what beta is for. Find them, report them, squash them. Holding off on beta because of bugs is just saying "we want a 'beta'. In other words we don't wanna say it's release, but we want it to pretty much be release."

This. This is why i was saying hopefully beta is soon, but didn't want to actually type these words. I'm glad they came from someone else besides me. Thank you sir.

 

Is it actually confirmed that they will update the Roadmap once every month? Or does it mean more of "updated monthly-ish..."

 

Not sure what was originally planned but they seemed to have moved from that (because updating it is a lot more work) to doing the daily updates (which I do love quite a lot.) So to be fair I just want them to say.. 'nope no roadmap update because Beta is here' but I doubt they will

 

They very clearly stated they would update the roadmap once a month. It would be yet another betrayal and broken promise if they did not.

 

sadly I'm beginning to take on a pessimist outlook as well, here - the daily updates are coming later and later in to the next day, making me feel like they'll start doing them less frequently or stop all together - the roadmap does feel like a failed delivery in a big way, like the daily updates could turn out to be.

i've also been wondering why they're spending weeks at a time on things like cooking recipes- finish what needs to be finished for me to have this game and its core elements. i view thousands of space-age cocktails and cakes as bonus fluff.

this is the first time i've ever really vented about the way things are done, and we're all spoiled with the daily updates, but i'm just skeptical about what's emphasized at times.

given that daily updates don't occur on their proper day anymore, 'monthly update' probably means 'three month intermim period update'.
