The reason bosses are so hard is simple

There terraria boss difficulity
there only hard if you stand still and try to use melee
and since the game forces you into using melee since the early ranged weapons are terribad
And theres no items that increase mobility to dodge there attacks
your stuck to having to cheese it.

 

Not really. There are items to increase mobility (blue and green stimpaks, iirc) and technology. There are ways to find ranged weapons besides the hunting bow(s). Even if you don't cheese it, just gearing up to an appropriate level and learning the fight seems to trivialize the bosses.

 

don't understand the purpose of your negativity...i've read a couple of your posts and they seem to share this attitude. it's completely fine if you don't like the game and i'm sorry if the game so far has disappointed you. but it's clear from the content of your post you aren't interested in trying to open a dialogue in an effort to make the game better, but instead you just want to complain.

 

Who would want to farm for enough stimpacks to last the entire boss fight
silver isen't enough
You have to choose between dash or jump boost
and you need both.

 

I beat it with 2 blue stimpaks, iron armor, and with only dash. Just load up on bandages, dodge, have some patience, and carry a shield. It takes time but it's definitely doable.

 

Well, you could build a bunker and go find a gun and easily beat the bosses, and silver is fine. i beat the boss using silver armor, a one handed sword, and a shield.

 

They're*. And that's not really a good reason. You're not giving anything concrete.

 

My friends and I used like 9 bombs and killed the UFO pretty easily.

 

I'm assuming you're talking about the UFO if not I can retract but, tip to beat it:
(Make sure you are away from your house but on the surface when you do it. I advise floating off to another planet.)

1. Create an Arena using Wooden Platforms at least 2 levels high to easily move left, right and up.
2. Invest in a few Bandages which you can craft from Plant Fibers.
3. Get Leather and make the Snow Infantry Gear Using the Loom that is:
a. 10 Leather for the Pants
b. 8 Leather for the Hat
c. 15 Leather for the Chest
This stuff protects you against the cold and has reasonably decent defense.
4. Collect Iron and get an Iron Hunting Bow.
5. If you lack the confidence in fighting him and it is still available. (If you really want to this is up to the player: Use the duplication glitch and duplicate your spawn beacon.)


Make sure to also keep dodging out of the way, I didn't use any stimpacks to beat this fight, took a lot but I actually did it.

 

no the problem with the bosses is that they are spawned with a monster level equal to the cap for the sector, while the craftable armor only gives you def up to 5 below the cap (barring sector 1 boss where you can make a armor with 10 defense). The same can be said about craftable weapons but that is easily mitigated by scavenging high leveled chests for up to +3 weapon level, giving you the ability to do hundreds of damage to the boss.

The devs know that this is a problem which is why their next patch is revamping the damage system and as a result your comparison to terraria bosses might not be too far off
