The Rake was a creepy-pasta creature I always took great interest in. I figured I could combine him with a sea-creature/serpent like being. Hopefully this is good enough! The Rake-Squid behaves similarly to burrowers in Terraria. It will lurk underwater for certain amounts of time, then once it notices the player it will lunge out of the water. The Rake-Squid has no eyes, spikes on its back, a large amount of tentacles hanging off of the lower bottom of its head and only navigates by sound. There is also sea-algae along it's body, sort of like how whales will grow barnacles after longer periods of time underwater. It has wispy hairs along the top of its head and along the scruff of its head. It has no allies, so it will attack anything it hears.

Bah don't be so down about it. I'm sure there's stronger factors at hand for each submission that just mere presentation.
