I live in the Bible Belt region of America and live in a small town with under 1,500 people on top of that. I've never met a single person i've ever been attracted to, and it's not too hard to reason that one out. I'm lucky that I have a few close friends who are supportive, sure I get a lot of hate and hardly want to leave the house because frnnnnguuu (life and stuff and things and too lazy to type at 2am) So... Describe yourself, and stuff. I'm in the final stretches of college, working on a computer science degree, among other things. Roughly 90% of my online friends are LGBT self identifying. 6. Why do you want to join (aside from the fact that it's awesome)? I haven't swayed my large group of gaymer friends to Starbound yet, and I should probably expand my scope of friends. 7. Thanks for having me! I'm curious, what is everyone looking forward to the most in Starbound, when it comes out? I'm excited for the Spore space stage-like features of jumping from planet to planet, seeing strange creatures, and possibly for whatever contraptions can be made with logic gates and the like.

That's cool, are you focusing on a specific aspect? What programming classes have you had? That is an interesting hat. Is this an official item, or is this plans for an item to be modded in? I'm betting it shouldn't be that hard to add custom items from seeing the dev logs and the thread Mollygos posted.
The school I'm looking at has several areas of concentration, but I'm interested in the game dev one. If not that one then business. It won the "Enter a hat" competition. It will be in the game in some shape or form.
Lucky! My college only has business or academic concentrations. Though, seeing my peers, I doubt they'd be able to handle game dev . The hardest/most challenging courses available in programming are in Android development, and those still aren't as complex as video games. That's cool. I wonder if they'll make acquisition where you get it from a bird too.
I'm actually working on teaching myself some gamedev in the meantime. I'm not doing it today, because it is late, but I'm going to get SFML working on Eclipse so I can start making some simple games like pong. (Eclips now compiles C++ programs so that makes me happy.) I just need to set everything up so I can use it's tools.
Wow, I feel so out of touch with my computer knowledge, let alone complex computer programs science stuff- last few posts went over my head and I think that is a good thing. Also as for Starbound most looking forward too um, really can't decide. I have not been this excited for a game ever so many individual things that make me love it. Really will enjoy just relaxing and playing listening to the fabulous soundtrack in game though.
SFML is a 2d video game library that helps you create games more easily. Eclipse is a IDE (integrated development environment) that you can write code in. (The stuff that makes magic happens) Eclipse used to be a IDE that only worked for code written in java but now it even does C++! I'm pretty sure you know what game dev means.
Sorry, for the 12+ hour later reply, got distracted . I haven't heard of SFML, but I looked it up. It must be pretty new, since libraries that can use multiple languages is kind of a new thing. Are you just going off the documentation/tutorials, or did you get the book for it? When it comes to game libraries, I've messed around with Pygame(which is based off of SDL) and libGDX(which can cross compile for desktop, android, and web). I've used Eclipse extensively, but I haven't really used it for anything other than Android or Java dev. However, it does seem to work with c++ well, from watching Bartwe's streams. Game dev is significantly more complex than what people are exposed to in low level and beginner classes. In those classes, usually you do basic things, and all functions and stuff you use are either provided by the core language's library, or stuff you make for the assignment. However, with game dev, it's much harder to write something from scratch, so it's easier to use an already established library so that you have all the tools to do what you need. It still is a lot of work, but it makes it to where you don't need to know how hardware and software interacts, and you won't have to program for each OS and specific versions of each OS separately.
I haven't started learning it yet, but I'm going to be using web documentations. Right now I'm busy working on arts.
Asset creation is usually what causes me to stop . I'm not very good at art, yet I'm very picky. It's probably better to use place-holder assets in the beginning.
