Well it doesn't bother me so much, since although I identify as having no gender I am totally fine with my male body and have no desire to modify it ( which is why I don't identify as trans and why I still consider myself gay ). It's a bit complicated like that. Although I do know a lot of people who identify outside of the gender binary and it can be problematic when games ask you "pick boy or girl, period". Although I think Starbound is a little better in that there are races with "outside-the-box" genders ( Florans are unisex ) and you can even just be a robot if you like. So that's good. And don't apologize! It's good to have open dialogue about stuff like this.

That way it stops ignorance and misunderstanding and those things when left unattended can fester into some not nice stuff. Don't really have much to add that hasn't already been said- other than I'm happy that Starbound does those extra options, because it feels more inclusive to me. I'm very much in favour of equality and it's good that through Starbounds interesting science fiction setting you get that diversity there.
