The Problems with Novakids. (for me)

Well excuuuuse me princess. I thought trying to explain the issue in detail and recommending an underrated mod which circumvents the problem to address the issue was pretty neighborly. Guess not.

He was presenting a temporary solution. There's nothing wrong with that. He also only mentioned it 1-3 times.
He made a CDI* reference. That, on the other hand, is unforgivable.

Skipping everything to add this, might have been mentioned.
Weren't the Novakid only supposed to be NPCs? wasn't that like a preorder goal and now they're playable?

If you looked at the page where they were suggested to become a playable SPECIES (why do things keep saying things like these are a race, they are a totally different Sapient organism than everything else, sorry Nerd rage.). People were unable to write about their lore and past because:
1) After the humans met them and gave them schematics for something to contact them with, the Novakids just never built it through sheer disinterest. So the best they could probably do was "We met intergalactic Gas People today, they made fun of what we looked like but were generally friendly. We gave them some radio schematics for if they ever wanted to contact us"
2) they were discovered long after they came into existence.
3) The Novakids didn't write anything down, because they just don't care about that stuff. They live in the now, and don't care about what happened 1200 years ago.
4) The only ones to probably have a written record of them would be the ancients...


Also unlike you, I find the Novakids a very quirky and unique Species compared to the others. Humans, boring! Avians, wow bird people, why not something cooler like Aztec Raptors?... Glitch, Medieval robots? interesting... Hylotl, cool but I have seen a lot of fish people. Florans, that is actually quite cool and unique. Apex, so you watched planet of the Apes? but then the Novakid, Humanoid Stars that are cowboys! Seriously that is cool, they are space cowboys! That combines two things every child wants to be, Astronaut and Cowboy. Also don't get me wrong I like all the Species, they are great and Chucklefish have done a great job, but I believe the Novakids are just a more original concept, since many of these things don't seem... big and outside the box! Like Aztec raptors, or a species of giant colonial period spiders... yeah something like that.

I am not going to repeat things that you have probably already heard, 30 times. Like the respawn animation being a place holder. But I will add that I'm sure they will work on the Novakid in the future, and will probably be improved by the time of the final release. If you don't like the Novakids, then don't play them.
