I'd suggest:

Battle axe - Full Moon
Normal axe - Crescent Moon
Hammer - Impact Site
Dagger, Short Sword, Big Sword - Snowy's suggestions are fine with me
Spear - Darkside
Pistol - Meteorite
Machine Pistol - Meteor Shower
Sniper - Comet Trail
Shotgun - Sandmare
Machinegun - R.E.M. (Rapid Emptying of Magazine)
Grenade Launcher - Alarm Clock
Rocket Launcher - Wake-up Call
Chemical Thrower - Dreamscape

That way you have a mix of Moon/Space and Dream stuff. If you could work Moore into one that would be cool too, but I could only think of Moore Dakka. Lullaby could work with something too I guess. L.U.N.A. doesn't work for a weapon name because it's the AI's name.

 

Maybe the hammer could have a name with crater?

also, cobra, can weapons hold animations? because I COULD overhaul and improve the weaponry we have

 

unfortunately nope. and it bugs me

 

One vanilla weapon type has an animation built in; bows.

Other than that... well, the "activeitem" weapons are mostly LUA script. You might be able to script an activeitem weapon to have animations of some sort.

 

well the ony that irks me is pony magic weapons and changeling spit guns shoot bullets and rokets... i thought i made custom bullets for em...

 

you did, i just haven't finished the balancing and effects of the bullets. physics are complicated.

EH if you ever need flashy projectiles, bullets, gasclouds, etcs just call SNOWY MUNITIONS!

 

cobra, do you know where in the files are the vainilla projectiles? because id like to customize the bullets ponys use... as beams, lazers, plasma, bioplasma etc should have its unique looks in certain materials

in the unpacked files you will find a folder called projectiles there will find all of the game's projectile
