Well It depends Does driving yourself mad with the amount of notes you take count as good or bad? Because personally, I consider it to be bad, but it's a strong asset to whoever's side you are on, making it good
Ok, monster catch-up post...so....spoiler tag..... I did some reading on my work break(didn't have enough time to post), and got up to about Page 14. I just want to chime in on the 611 scenario and echo my initial statement and say they read much more town here than the last game, and I honestly get a very town vibe from them. Either they're town or a neutral again, but I'm not seeing scum yet. I think 611 is a ruthless town scum-hunter that is grilling Alk for the sake of pushing them to their limit and seeing how they react, not because of any actual strong scum tell. That's how you should play the game. Relentlessly accuse someone who did something suspicious to see if they crack. If they don't there's a strong chance they are town. And on that note, I think Alk is town-ish here, maybe neutral. But I'm currently happy to say not scum. If I had to pick, gun-to-head, I'd say 611 Town and Alk Town. Somehow I missed this post until Alk responded to it. I don't know over half of the players, at least in the sense that I've never played with them. So I picked a name of someone I didn't know who hadn't posted yet in order to draw them out. I thought about voting you, but since you at least made a post, you were less pressing. Peacheon was a fun name so I chose that. To be honest, I kind of think 611 might have made a good call about them being scum, but I think those first couple posts were all they had contributed. What say you, @Peacheon? What do you make of all the activity so far? Any reads or theories? Again, this kind of discussion concerns me. In the last game, he kept obsessing over the neutral possibilities. Remember how he was thinking there had to be a "shadow and an agaran" until he was absolutely forced into believing there were two shadows? It's because he was a shadow who felt there had to be another neutral in the set-up. And now he keeps going on about being certain there's a cultist and a poptop. I think I know where I want to put my vote down, because Cj's rhetoric is so fishy to me. Trying VERY hard not to lynch this and voiditect's general behavior. I realize this is just they're personality and they're new to the game...but DAMN does it ping me. Thinking better of it before I just go right out and lynch void, I'm going to say this is a new and not so talkative townie. This particular post isn't important, but it's hard not to just get a pure town vibe from dyachei. That worries me, to be honest. I can't let them be a blind spot through reads, because my heart says never scum. As always, Cj makes a great top suspect. He'll be upset and defend himself when targeted, but he's not above giving his accuser just due. I was at work, if my posts didn't make it obvious. Hence the sudden disappearance. So Jimlad pretty much reads the same as last game, which again shows his personality just bleeds through whatever he posts, no matter his alignment. However, notice here how he started out of the gate with reads. Sure, he wasn't one of the first three posters, but despite trusting pretty much everyone, his effort feels genuine and the reads come off as someone who's legitimately not sure other than the gut feelings that he tries to rationalize. So far, I'm willing to leave him as town. This does raise an eyebrow, though. Let's see how Jimlad handles it(because now I'm getting close to stuff I rushed through before my break was over) Super null read so far. I can't help but feel this seem opportunistic, as Jim is an easy target to pick out to lynch for shifty behavior. At the same time, again...if it's town, it's an aggressive approach that forces Jimlad to react. So SR is up in the air right now. A good point, actually. Not necessarily immediately making void the lynch target, but I remember reading through and thinking there's a decent chance for scum to be on the 611 lynch since his abrasive tactics rub people the wrong way when trying to scum read. Peacheon could actually have been a random lucky right shot, but there's not enough there to really go on yet. Maybe later in the game. Sounds legitimately unaware of what dyachei was talking about, and considering I missed King of Dominaria's post earlier, it's believable he missed those posts. Somewhat confused about his vote on Alkanthe, though... I'm trying to not be pinged by the fact that they both popped in at the exact same time to essentially say the same thing. KoD gives me a mostly town vibe to me. The way they're putting in the effort and analyzing everyone, and not afraid to label most with a scummy lean, reads like strong town. It could be a power wolf(a penguin who plays like an aggressive town to get mislynches), but there's not enough to support that idea yet. Starting to read like finding any crack in a townie's personality to get them lynched. Look at how quickly they jumped on to the possibility of lynching void in their following post. Honestly disliking these posts incriminating Jimlad more and more. I think there are other options with some decent reasoning. Even 611 make sense. Jimlad feels like a scapegoat. Playing with someone only gives more reference for tonal reads. You can read someone's tone without knowing a damn thing about them. And this is honestly the first post of yours that has pinged me for scummy. And ironically, at the end of my catch up, Peacheon finally posts. My earlier point still stands. Right now, it's between CjBeats and SR for my vote. EDITED TO BOLD MY POINTS
Pyscho what do you mean, give my accuser just due? I just don't want people voting someone just because they're not here, when they have a reason to not be here. Like you at work, or Jim at terrarria. EDIT: Also I like to look at the numbers of players. The more players, the more likely there's a neutral. And the more type of neutral, the more likely that one would be in the game. That's why I like looking at possible neutrals.
@dya: And SR's are? I'd argue that Jim has more quality to his content than SR does. Especially given a few, scant replies SR gave in some of his posts. Contrast that with Jim's responses, and you will see a definite difference.
As in you knew I was at work so was willing to defend that point. Just due might have been the wrong words as that implies you owe it to me. I think SR because Cj reads neutral while SR reads scummy. But my read on Cj is stronger, and no neutral in this game is beneficial. That said, I think whittling down the actual scum numbers might be beneficial for Day 1. So... VOTE: Secondhand Revenant But I'm happy with either lynch. EDIT: I'm off to a birthday party for a few hours, so I won't be back until pretty late. But for any of you people in different countries and that stay up late like me, I should be around for a bit more before day end.
Here's the reads. Hope you appreciate them. Alkane- I'm getting a lot different vibes from last game. Maybe it's because they have people they know better in here or something, but I'm just not getting penguin vibes. I'm actually getting some pretty safe town reads here, but it's also possible they could be a neutral, but I don't think so. Kam- They're being a lot more aggressive than last game when they were a shadow. It's interesting to say the least. But I'm gonna need to wait for more to be able to fully tell, but I'm leaning slightly to the town side of things, although they were hammering me for I like to give my reads and that was a little weird. Jimlad- They've given their reads and have been responding to many posts. It's a lot different Jim then we saw last time. Sure they've lurked, but they've also been forming massive post walls where they've given their opinion all at once. I like it. I'm fairly confident they're town. Void- Void is new, and is acting as any new player would. They're also questioning some things which is good to do. I'd like to see more, rather than them saying they can't do something, but they haven't triggered any warning signs in my head. Jake- He was here. He did something. I don't actually think he voted anyone though. Yeah he didn't. Pyscho- He came and left, nothing new, he's a busy man. I'll hold off till he has more time to participate. Peacheon- Uhhhh... I don't remember anything from them. They voted Kam and I don't think they did anything after that. Frantic- Came and voted Alkane. Used past experiences to determine their vote rather than just randomly voting. I can respect that, though I disagree with the vote. I lean town. Frankly we're now in the territory of people I have never played with before, but who all seem to have played with each other? It gets difficult because they all know each other and I'm just an outsider looking in, but I'll try my best. KingofDominaria- He went an analyzed each page seperatly. I can dig it. Lots of work though on his part. He's questioned a lot, protected Jim a lot as well. He's also given solid reasoning for just about everything which I do like as well... I'm getting some town reads, nothing has shown me otherwise at this point. Dyachei- They just seem to be questioning some things, defending themselves against Jim, using some outside evidence, which I have no clue where from, to determine their views. Frankly I don't know. I'm gonna need to wait till I see more. Dragonclaw- Has he been here? If he has I can't remember anything and really don't feel for looking for something that might not be there. .Fable.- Hasn't been around long enough for me to get a read. Talking about wolves though, what's that about? Seconhand Revanant- Also talks about wolves. Anyone wanna help? They also seem to not like the Jimboy, but that's normal for just meeting him. I'm gonna be completely honest here, I have no idea with him either. Forgive me, but these new people I just can't pick up on right now. I need another day.
Like I said, if someone is somewhere and people are gonna try to use that against them in a lynch, I don't like that, so I'd defend them, no matter who it would be, and if I actually knew where they were. Like if Kam just up and disappeared for a few days without saying anything, sure I'd be suspicious, but if he gave a reason to disappearing and people still tried to lynch him, I'd defend him in that regard.
i don't have a town read on him currently. Am null there. But you cannot deny that the quality of Jim's reads are pretty bad. Yes he has more quantity, but is that enough to call him town? I don't think so
@Psycho: Thanks. I appreciate the response. I was wanting to see how you'd react to a vote on you with it not moving. Granted I ended up moving it, but in your response you didn't focus on it and addressed other topics in the thread worthy of focus. Ive got a good town feel from Psycho thanks to his post.
I know fable and SR from mafia universe where we've played many games together. Alk recruited us for this game but I haven't really played with them. 611, SR, and I all played 1 game together in the champs series last year.
