GG! Another Civilian win. Poor penguins... though there was no penguin Nightkill on the 2nd Night... that played a part. In any case, I guess I need to think about the balance even more. Six games without a single penguin victory is concerning. Protective roles, roleclaims, not enough penguins; so many things to blame. or everyone is just way better at civvie play pfft ._.

This was a short game indeed. This didn't last even two weeks, though that was expected due to the small amount of players. Still, the lack of players worries me. Notably, everyone who was playing this time have been in at least two previous games. Why is this happening? I can come up with many reasons that are unrelated to this game. But if the interest to the game keeps on gong down, I'm very unsure on what will happen to TPS. Hopefully there will be more players in the future. Perhaps when SB 1.0 launches the forums will become more active, bringing in some new blood (to be spilled).

Next game? Yup. I've been wondering what kind of a game the 8th one will be. Boring Humans? Agaran-game? Something even more outlandish? I've got no clue so maybe I'll put up a poll like the one for 6th game. Dunno yet.

The proper signups will open later but feel free to express interest to the game so I know there are potential players. And as always, all ideas are appreciated. I've kinda forgotten some of the old role suggestions, so anyone who had those could dig 'em up maybe?

I will try to engineer a game and make some custom roles to make roleclaiming difficult. it would also be a good idea to make a game where we dont know the roleset- or even the number of penguins. call it a "Dark game"

 

Ah yes.

We have those for almost every game on Hypixel.

But we also just use the entire list of roles from Mafiascum's wiki.

Plus some customs.

So yeah.

They can be quite interesting...

the thing is with the dark game- you can roleclaim as whatever you want- it may not even be in the set, so nobody can counter claim

This concept of unknown setups just keeps on coming up, so maybe the setups will stay hidden in the next game. I'd include a list of how many players per alignment there are and a list possible roles in play, but that's just me. Voice your opinions and convince me that your opinions are the best ones :p

About Mafiascum's roles... I've been taking some from there and giving them a Starbound-ish face, but in my opinion there are a ton of "meh" roles there too. For everyone unfamiliar with the MS wiki, here's a link: http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Main_Page Anyone can take a dive there and bring back some suggestions.

What kind of games there are on Hypixel? The players here prefer power role -heavy games (or at least that's my observation, duh), so that's what the Penguin Syndicate has been like in the past.

Hmm. Signups could start Monday or Tuesday, but the game will probably start in May. really dunno i havent planned the schedule out yet at all

 

I would like to see Oracle, The Oracle, and Inventor be brought into being here.

By far, some of my favorite roles.

(Actually, I prefer playing as Arsonist, but it isn't a very strong Neutral role, so yeah)

Inventor sounds cool. Oracle perhaps, if restricted somehow. Would depend on the game.
I've actually considered adding Arsonist (or something similar).

 

Arsonist is nearly impossible to win with, especially if you tell people when they are doused. I've never seen the Vigilante version, but that might be a good alternative.

 

Malfunctioning novakid? Floran that is on fire?
