The Most Cruel Race in Starbound?

i killed an entire planet of them when i first started my new character with only base gear they have a lot of hp but have to power to back it up in short they are chumps unless you mean their abilities to corrupt floran in that case yeah sent in the mushroom men

If you think the most cruel race in Starbound is either the Florans or the Hylotl, I'd recommend you give the Apex lore a second look.

 

Eh, can't agree. I'd say the Apex have the most atrocious acts locked away indisputably, but I never got the feeling that there was inherent cruelty behind said acts. More the result of being controlled by a wholly inhumane central government. If we were solely speaking of the miniknog, I may have been inclined to agree, but the way the lore frames it, many apex are resigned to do these horrible things out of ignorance and belief that such actions are for the good of the many.

I don't exactly equate extreme utilitarianism with cruelty.

exactly they DIDN'T fight keep that in mind when a fire doesn't give you guys a victory now can we end this back and forth from the florans because saying ssssstab and mocking a race whose planet they stole does NOT help their case

 

Euphos,Disphos and Aphos,the elite of the Hylotls,alll of these possesing considerate weaponry for all of their duties(protecting their spawn from monsters,protecting their city and protecting their city from mosters on the Abyss side of the Ocean,they arent using poopsmashers to defend themselves)

They had a fair chance at fighting,seeing as these defense forces would be comonly numeruous in a home planet,they themselves have verry good armour and weapons for their duty,so id have to say,while the populace obviously was a tad outclassed,the Hylotls still had the equivalent of supersoldiers when compared to the average Floran soldier,whose weapons and armour were lacklastuer so to say,unless it was Greenfingers own litle army of Sentinels,Gatherers and Synthesizers,then the fight would not have been easy for the Hylotls.

We dont quite know much about the Floran-Hylotl war,as we dont have real confirmation of what even caused it, who started the fire or how that fire was started but folowing logic,well,the Hylotls have mocked Florans,a extremely agressive race for years and years,maybe Greenfinger just invaded them to gain the Moral of the Florans?

But then again,we donteven know who the Hylotl leader is,now do we?

Nah,lets continue the rivalry,its good funand fun RP.

Why does everyone think florans are so bad? Apex are the most cruel race in Starbound.

 

Human: They're humans, nothing wrong.
Hylotl: Japanese aliens, a little strict.
Apex: Disquisting, but not the most cruel.
Glitch: Happy, midieval people.
Avian: Nice, lost their power to fly, thats all.
Floran: Cannibals, kills anyone on sight with weapons.

Firstly-Canibalism is only done as a ritual act,not something you do every meal,its to eat the body of another warrior in order to get his strengh.Apex are way worse.

Secondly-No,they do not atack on sight,they hunt a lot,they are warriors and they dont put up with any sort of disrespect,thats it,hence the Hylotls hate.
They respect other warriors,their entire culture is about hunting and getting respect from the hunts you made,they will not simply decide to kill out just cause you looked at them,some my,but generaly speaking,most wont.
They respect warriors and hunters,but they dont simply atack on sight.That would be ridiculous.

Why is this hate for Florans?Apex scientists threaten any intruder that they will rip out their brain and laugh at it(isnt it cruelty to wilingly hurt someone and cause them as much pain as possible?),Avins sacrifice many of their own for their God(Does Kluex realy want the sacrifices though?),Hylotls are racist smug "Superior" bastards,BUT HOLY F*CKIN SHEIT,HERE COMES A OBVIOUSLY WARRIOR RACE AND EVERYONE IS SPAZING OUT!

They hunt by need,as the energy made by Photosynthesis and plant matter consuption just isnt enough,you see.
They eat meat by need,they hunt by need,do you call a lion cruel?No,it needs to hunt in order to survive,just like the Florans.

 

Humans: enough reason
Hylotl: incredibly offensive to EVERYONE
Apex: government has tortured half the population who lives in constant fear of being killed. civilians are nice
Glitch: Hive-minded medieval robots that are only aggressive towards non hive-mind glitch (or people trespassing on private property) Free thinking glitch are mean to no one
Avian: Sacrifices people to Kluex in hopes of gaining wings. Kluex was not actually a god. Teaches its good to jump off buildings.
Floran: Plants that kill quickly to get meat, does not kill everything, only things they need to for survival.
so cruelest is Apex and Avian is close second. floran is second to last in my opinion, with reasons of course. Hylotl are the meanest

 

Darth vader armor? ive seen all the them and none look remotely close to vader...also i really dont think ive seen hyltol be hipsters....perhaps you confuse being smug as being hipster. Also all the hate for florans is players like you keep saying stuff that helps convince people they are all evil i dont hate them but the more i keep hearing them say ssssssstab and hate on a race whos planet they stole it doesn't exactly say "hey we are a nice race."
