The bounty hunting idea is great! As for the arena that is also wonderful! Love the way Starbound is going. I have been watching the development and been playing with the updates for as long as you could play the game and have been so happy every time I see a new post on the dev blog. This is my first time I have actually posted a comment but it is mostly just to say how wonderful this game is, keep up the good work!

This is a great idea. It would actually give meaning to all those millions of planets out there and a reason to go to them. Seems reasonably simple to implement too.
You sir, just turned a dev blog thread into a suggestions thread... And I LOVE it! Chucklefish, this is exactly what this game needs to take a huge leap in the direction of GOTY! If you are listening to the community at all, you will hear us cry out for this suggestion. How soon you implement it? Whenever possible and most convenient for you to easily add it. Maybe once you finish the gladiator arena. But just acknowledge the fact that you are at least considering adding this to the game, and I will be a most joyous man.
I went in with iron armor. and got hastily disassembled...... i later returned and left victorious again and again. the last reward..............awesome... playing nightly can be buggy as expected but its too fun and new to pass up!
I cant get anywhere in nightly. The ship AI is stuck on the "Ship Status" question and wont let me get the matter manipulator or fix the FTL drive
oh god, first the main story line goes all, "you are the chosen one!", now we get arena fights. What's next; escaping jail through a sewer after solving a crate-pushing puzzle while suffering copious arrows to both knees? Also, there has to be skeletons... and spiders... skeletal spiders?!?!?
This looks like loads of fun, Would really like if we could have an arena to fight in for earning lots of pixels, Maybe even special weapons and armor as it progress to hard enemies.
having fights for pixels and weapons or even sets of clothes or armor would be quite good because we all want better weapons and clothes and if we are to lazy to go and explore for it im ready to fight for what i want.
you know what would be kinda cool if hylotl where on the frozen water planets as well but had there places made out of ice and where wearing parkas and also there would be little snow sculptures like a snow man with 3 eyes or stuff like that
