    might be nice if there were several possibilities for the antagonist, with differing methods of defeating/dealing with them, as this would extend the replayability.

    Possible Examples.

    Giant Space Creatures: imagine space dragons, crystalline entities. Single gigantic creatures capable of planetary destruction.

    Alien Invasions: ranging from War of the Worlds style warmachines trampling across your worlds, Independence Day style ships blasting your bases

    Natural Phenomenon: Black Holes, Supernova etc.

    Interesting, similar to how planets are generated, only give a few set options for the Antagonist, and every new play-through it changes what you're saving the universe from and possibly how.

    I imagine it would take a hell of a lot of effort to create completely separate story lines just to only play one of maybe a possible eight, but I like where the idea can go.
