The Magical Thread of Slimy Awesomeness

I think Green+Red are the brownish/orange slimes, and then those breed with probably either a red or a green to get the yellow ones that can drop gold ore.

 

I can confirm that they will happily breed in the saloon. In fact, two of my little scamps consummated their passion on top of Leah...I hope they at least named their slimelet after her!

I have one red slime in my saloon, never did make more in there.

 

I finally have my first golden slime in Cindersap. He will never fall to my sword, for I am grooming him to be my heir.

 

It's been a while so I thought I'd share some new photos of my slime colonies. I just have two now - my Pink Slime colony in Cindersap (I actually managed to get rid of almost all the purple slimes that were in the river, it just took LOTS of bombs. There's still a few left but they're out of reach.)





And my "anything goes" colony up at the railroad, where I'm just letting all the colors mix and seeing what I get. I've got quite a few with a lovely lavender shade, a couple of orange ones, and lots of different green shades.






(I also found out you can plant maple, oak and pine trees off the farm so I'm giving them a bit of a forest to slime around in.)

 

Ooh, I like the blue one on top of the cliff at the railroad. That's a lovely color!

 

@LuthienNightwolf what map edit are you using? i really like the white trees!

 

Those are part of Eemie's recolor mod, I'll get you a proper link when I'm not on my phone.

 

Fun Fact: I use that mod but for some reason the different tree trunk colors didn't work for me. I probably goofed and dowloaded the wrong file

Edit: I'm incorrect! They made a new mod. I was using the old one lol.

I had a single colony set up near the Wizard's place. Then a green male took two red females and ran off with them and set up his own tribe outside of Leah's house. I've been watching the two colonies each grow : eventually they're going to get big enough to remerge into one huge one.

*dying laughing* My slimes near Leah's house have become adorably confused (Yes, I know it's a glitch. I prefer to think otherwise). They have started greeting everyone who walks by, from Shane to Haley, with "Hi, Leah!" and "Good afternoon, Leah!" (Leah, I'd like to add, is nowhere around at this times: I've checked). They seem to think all humans are named Leah...

 

Still no word from CA about this, would be interesting to get his reaction.

 

I'm thinking now it may be because I have so many of them that their greetings are delayed. Just now I got a "Hi Haley" from them when I was the only one around. My current character is male...it may be left over from the last time they saw her, and since they see Leah more than anyone else, that might make sense. I still prefer to think that they're just really mixed up but trying their best to be polite, good citizens. The saloon only seems to sustain two of them, I've discovered. At least in my game. Other ones are born, but seem to quickly vanish. Just the two I started with are still there. I still want Gus to have to explain this to the Health Department. "They're...therapy animals!"

 

Yeah I like your theory of them thinking all humans are named Leah better. lol

I need to draw some little comics about the misadventures of the slimes as they run amok around Pelican Town.

 

This is too advanced for me... now...

 

So I got bored lastnight and decided to make some Slime art. The more I drew, the more ideas I got but only so much time for silly things like this. Maybe I'll do more later though, but for now I thought this thread would be the right place to post this. lol
