And here I thought this was Stardew Valley. I guess it's Slime Rancher

 

He didn't even saw it, on my app it shows only sent written (I guess it should be something like read) once he opens it

I recall some users talking about the townsfolk's lack of response to seeing slimes. Well, from these screenshots I've taken, it seems that not only do they not mind the slimes' presence, some of them are even embracing it

And if you treat the slimes with respect, they'll return the favour

(Prior to this, Robin had said "Good morning, Sludge!" Sadly I missed it, partly because it was too fast (she'd been going into Pierre's) and partly because I was laughing too hard.)

 

I saw my railroad slimes have a pleasant exchange with Linus yesterday.
"Good morning Linus!"
"Hello"

I don't catch it very often, my slimes are all in areas where the villagers hardly go, if at all.

 

:O That dialogue was there even before the slimes, right? I vaguely recall seeing it before.

Because if not, holy crap, how far does this slime thing go.

 

He didn't actually say that, I was just being silly. lol I think he actually asked me about how the farm was doing, but he was standing there staring at the water and I couldn't resist making up my own story. lol

 

Oh, could've sworn I saw that dialogue.

I can't help that they love to swim. Maybe it's their natural environment and they're happy to be out of those dark, hot caves.

 

Which is fine and all until they melt enough to merge and re-enact The Blob rampaging through the town.

If Water+Slime = More slime, as the slime hutch would seem to indicate giving a dozen+ slimes an entire lake to swim in is just asking for a giant slime.

 

You know I can't help but be reminded of the lesson we learned from the magwai when they were allowed in a body of water:

 

I still hold to my theory that the Slimes are just Junimo that have been cursed. They are a vaguely similar shape and size. What if the Slimes are the result of a Junimo getting wet and being fed after midnight?

 

It might be possible that the Shadow People experimented on Junimos during the Elemental Wars. The slimes were deployed in the caves as a weapon against the dwarves. This would explain why you only meet slimes and Shadow People (not fighting against each other) on deeper mining levels. They simply won against the dwarves.
It's a good explanation for slimes having such a variety of colours.

 

Well, I finally got in the mood for some Stardew Valley again so I have an update on my void slimes:

Hatched another one, which turned out to be male. They seem to be stuck in the location they hatch.

And just seconds after taking that screenshot, a little slime ball was born:

He hatched in the home, so he's in grave danger! Emily hasn't seen him yet though

BUT a short while after these two screenshots, the male bounced off of the wall and completely disappeared off screen and he did not return. Next morning, the female was gone too for no apparent reason. Looks like the void is not a suitable place for a slime population.

 

This is how my river got full of slimes - the ones on the bank somehow shot their babies through the barrier and those started breeding...now there's so many down there my game stutters a bit when I go through. x.x'

I feel like Emily would be the sort who would get a towel and catch the slime and let it go outside - she wouldn't want to kill it, but she definitely doesn't want it in the house. lol I'm that way with spiders.
