Same for me, but in my case with metaknight, just stand in one corner, and if anyone's character looks at me, i'm there in an instant sword twirling them to death, and don't even think 'bout knocking me off the edge...

I found Ivysaur to be the best.

 

Ivy's quite excellent if you can play him right. I unfortunately can't, and I fail miserably at recovering with him.
