The Kluex Hypothesis

Hello!
I have a hypothesis. As you can probably tell, it has to do with Kluex, the avian god.
I had a hypothesis that he was a hylotl, but there were a lot of missing chunks. But this new hypothesis really locks in good, and integrates itself into the lore. It really does make sense.

(TL;DR at the bottom, for all those lazy people out there ;D)
(Oh yeah, and also, maybe slight possible lore spoilers in this.)

Here we go.
Kluex. Is a Penguin.
That's right, a penguin.
It makes sense, here's why:

In the lore book, the Kluex Delusion, it says that Kluex has a space station orbiting around the planet, which means that Kluex is obviously technologically advanced. (Would explain the first boss)
I am a hylotl, and when I was speaking with an avian villager, he told me that "Kluex is a big fan of hylotls."
Penguins eat fish, hylotls are fish (sort of), so that's why he would be a "fan" of them. He likes to eat em'.

Kluex is behind basically everything that goes on in the starbound universe.

For example, Kluex the Penguin is actually Big Ape. He's in a suit. Which explains why he's always behind screens, and never comes outside.
Except for that one time.
In the lore book "Blog of a Lab Assistant 9", the lab assistant opens the door for big ape, who was wearing a costume: "A figure stood there, wearing an ill-fitting ape costume."

And Kluex is also involved in the Glitch, because in the lore book "The Would Be King 6", The "King" was actually a penguin in a glitch costume, which means that Kluex has a great ability for making costumes... Which would explain big ape.

And of course, Kluex being a penguin would explain him clipping the wings of the avians, because penguins can't fly, so why should avians?
And also, in the lore book "The Commandments of Kluex (First Draft)", one of the commandments is "Thou shall not worship false idols, such as penguins."
Reverse Psychology.

And of course, Kluex is involved in the Novakid as well. In avian lore, it claims that their gods are "sunborn" (Novakids are born from stars), and Kluex became one of them, the sunborn living out their lives through him. In reality, Kluex killed the "sunborn" in charge of the avians, just to make sure he was the only one controlling them.

Now here's the part where he plays the role in driving the races from their worlds.
In the Apex Intro, The hero escapes from the Miniknog who crushed the rebellion. (Who are minions to Big Ape, AKA Kluex)

In the Avian Intro, You escape from the stargazers (Kluex's minions) and in the lore book for the start, your character obviously knows Kluex has the ability of space travel. "Vaguely, at the back of your mind, you wonder if being in space will make it easier for Kluex to find you."

In the Floran Intro, you escape from the floran world because of the savagery there. Some of this savagery is because of Kluex, who tells the florans to invade the Hylotl's world.

Which explains the Hylotl Intro, saying that Florans drove them off of their world. This also ties into the floran introductory lore book, which says that "At night, Floran dream of oaken sssoldiers, of ssslimy demons, burning hot fire. In dry grass, beneath crashing waves, memories hazy." Which tells of the floran - hylotl battle. Oaken soliders being floran, slimy demons being hylotl, burning hot fire meaning they burnt it to the ground, in dry grass beneath the crashing waves, meaning it was underwater.

In the Glitch Intro, it says that Glitch had a creator, and there was a hivemind A.I which controlled them all. I think that the Glitch were created by Kluex and his penguins, who created the hivemind AI to control them.
This doesn't make sense at all, disregard it.

In the Human intro, a tentacle monster crashed into the planet. We've seen that Kluex has a lot of resources, and a lot of connections, so this tentacle monster must've been sent by Kluex.
Also doesn't make much sense.

In the end, this is just a hypothesis, I could be totally 100% wrong, but it's a bit fun to think about these things

I think it would be cool if "Kluex the Penguin" was a final boss in the game

TL;DR: The Avian god Kluex is a penguin and is the main antagonist force behind Starbound.

Edit: After reading some new lore books, here's on excerpt from The Kluex Delusion 3, which is interesting... "I have discovered some startling similarities between Kluex and Big Ape, the ruler of the Apex"
Another one is in Project Incarcerus Notes 8, "Big Ape has tasked me with finding a way to ensure our Apex soldiers are capable of taking down a Floran with ease.", which suggests that Big ape (Kluex) wants the species to kill themselves before having to intervene.

 

I actually really like this idea, except for that last point and the Glitch- the glitch have a pretty well laid out story, being failed experiments, and I don't see Kluex being the cause. Otherwise, yeah, this really clicks into place. It even explains the amount of penguin paraphernalia you'll find lying around. Also- maybe Kluex IS the first boss penguin?!?

Actually no wait you can re-call that boss so can't be that unique. Kluex's minion, perhaps...

 

alternatively, he doesn't actually die, and he waits for you to send out a distress signal again so he can swoop in and try to hunt you down once more.

 

This is....Mind Blowing. Keep it up! Cant wait what you can come up with once more lore is added. Argh, i cannot wait for the wipe to start playing again.

 

If this turns out to be correct, the real name of Kluex better be Gunter.

 

I was actually thinking something like this last night, that Sector X and the final boss will be the penguin home sector and the penguin leadership, respectively. The penguins are omnicidal maniacs who want to rule the galaxy, so they're going around destroying other sentient races and using their scouts (the first boss) to hunt down survivors by their distress beacons. The main plot will involve battling your way to their home sector and 'persuading' them to leave you and your friends alone.

 

*bites tongue*

Consider this an official retconning.

 

Pretty sure Kluex died over a hundred years before Starbound's present date, and the Avians just raised him to godhood due to legends from long ago.

Kinda like most religions.

 

Damn. Now I have to believe that Kluex is an evil penguin mastermind.

 

I did see a codex and stuff about I think a Apex insulting the Avians "flesh and blood" god.

 

Maybe the "Technologically advanced" penguins use cloning technology, just like the starbound races do, so Kluex never "dies", just is cloned.

 

Penguins aren't the only birds who eat fish. Also, the penguin that posed as the Glitch king was killed by the Floran.

There's not a lot of evidence to back up this hypothesis.

 

The book entitled the Children of Kluex actually mentions penguins as his outcast children. SO who knows.

 

"...his Glitch disguise falling away, revealing a small, black and white bird-like creature... Realising the game was up, and badly injured, the evil space pirate made his escape, never to be seen again."

 

Yup, since the lore covers this, I can confirm that - at least according to the Avian elders - Kluex is alive.
