Name: Haibo Height: (average) 0,90 m Weight: (average) 10 KG Description: The Haibos are lil' cowardly nocturnal creatures that wonder the grassy fields and jungles looking for juicy fruit. Despiste their clumsy look, they can be quite agile, their boneless arms can stretch four times their size, they don't have fingers, but the tip of their arms are sticky, so they can still snatch things, climb trees, etc... They aren't usually agressive, but are really annoying, allways sneaking arround people, stealing equipment like monkeys, they show to be quite curious arround the unknown. Becouse of their abnoxious behavior they get slaughtered a lot, but they are still a pretty common specimen, seen specially at night. Gameplay: Player meets 1 Haibo- He will start following the player and eventually steal from it if the player lets him, however if he looks or shoots at him he will run away. Player meets 4 or more Haibos - They will follow the player more boldly, they will not run away by looking at them, they will steal from the player with more sucess rate (depending on the number of Haibos in the group) and if the player shoots they will not hesitate to gang up and attack. Atributes: Agile, they jump arround making them selfs harder targets, and once they are in an agressive mode they like to climb up the person's back, wrap up their boneless arms arround the head and bite, Haibos are only agressive usually when they are in groups, so they use a lot of teamwork to kill their threat.
Really nice artwork, they look so creepy yet comical at the same time. :alien: They sound like a pretty annoying bunch to fight against also lol.
I like the idea of them being something like a thief instead of a blind attacker, and actually trying to rely on teamwork to overwhelm the player. Good job!
Yeh, stealers are always the scariest. Most players would rather loose an arm then the shiny metal sword it is holding Do they stash things like magpies? Can you, perhaps, use stels tech to follow them to their lair and find some loot they previously stole? Perhaps even breed them to steal others stuff for you?
Sure, didn't thought about it, but that would be great, the bigger the Haibo's LV the more valuable stuff the steals for ye =)
