I haven't been on DA in years, but this guy was one of my favorites. That's really cool. Also he made a girl throwing up on a cat, so that's a lot of plus points.

Well, I am right in that he made the Novakids right? Or am I not understanding. EITHER WAY, THIS GUY IS COOL. And it is cool that this guy had a part in Starbound. I don't pay attention enough.

It is neat that the guy who draws things I like and the game I also like actually have things in common I guess is what I am saying and it is an interesting thing to see. Maybe we will get good discussion here, WHO KNOWS

They even got a badge for it. I'm guessing Johnsu just did that picture, or it was a collab effort and they worked on novakids as well.

They both made similar races. And the Novakids suggestion is based loosely on the Anodynes (The creator credits Suika). The devs have decided to implement aspects of both of the suggestions. But, they seem to be leaning toward the original Novakids.

 

Y'know, novakids are and look neat. But I wonder what they smell and taste like!

Astronauts have said that after a space walk their suits smell of seared steak, welding fumes, and hot metal. Astronomers have have also postulated that due to the composition of gas clouds in the Milky Way it should, theoretically, taste like strawberries and smell like rum.

Novakids probly smell like a welding steak house pub and taste like strawberry jam!

HAHAHA WTF! This guy is certainly creative and hilarious!

While I really don't like anime or its style and I really hope anime doesn't influence Starbound too much, I don't mind most his stuff. And I recognize that the Novakids aren't very anime-ish.

Whew. I've never really gotten an anime vibe from the Novakids, they're I'd say my 3rd favorite race and they'll fit in perfectly in the whole Starbound universe. Both of the creators did an awesome job.

 

I think you might have the two links switched up, but it's not a big deal.

 

Perhaps he fixed it within minutes, but the Come Here Cat and Novakid links are fine from what I checked.
